After installing Dark Boot on 10.10.3, I can not boot into Yosemite any more. My disk does not show up when I restart holding the option key down, only the 10.10.3 recovery partition shows up. I do not know what to do to uninstall this software.

Sous Mac OS El Capitan, Dark Boot peut quand même marcher mais il faut auparavant avoir désactivé le SIP
On Mac OS El Capitan, Dark Boot can still walk but must have previously disabled the SIP

Changing the boot color is setting a nvram variable

Changing the boot image is editing /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist

Both are safe and should be wiped with an OS reinstall.

I don't know the exact details as to why apple didn't give older macs the black bootscren, but I can tell you that it's late 2013 macs and newer.

I was thinking it could be all 2013 and newer, but I can't confirm that since it's been a while since I checked and don't know anyone with an earlier 2013 mac. Originally I thought it was a special feature of Retina based macs, but my mom's 2013 Macbook air has it too, so that's when I found out it was late 2013, or 2013 macs or later. Hope this helps :)

Thanks for the heads up because i am a sucker for these types of candy software.

Although no doubt this reply is too late for you however

I would suggest you contact the developer and ask for his help and guidance since they are looking for feedback to a somewhat dicey programme.

Old post, so I'll assume you fixed this, but next time, start holding down the shift key to boot into Safe Mode. Then you could try running the app to uninstall it.
