What's new in SQLPro for Postgres

Version 2020.68:
  • Fixed an issue where autocomplete could sometimes remove newlines.
  • You can now 'reverse-cycle' the autocomplete window.
  • Working on resolving an issue where the cursor position might jump when autocomplete is entered.
  • Fixed an issue with Postgres object names beginning with a number were not properly escaped.
  • Autocomplete delay has been reset to the default (1.25 seconds). Due to a bug which had caused some users autocomplete to set to zero.
  • Performance improvements for autocomplete cache (was causing slowdowns on startup for some users).
  • Adding or removing tables via the query editor (ie CREATE TABLE/DROP TABLE) will now update the database tree and autocomplete.
  • Improvement with SSH tunnelling. Previously, every connection created a new tunnel. Now tunnels can be reused.
  • Autocomplete now wraps when using up/down keys.
  • Selected rows in the results grid now highlight the row numbers.
  • Adding/removing/altering a table will now update the database tree and autocomplete.
  • Fixed insertion text for CTEs and aliases.
  • Database names colors are now customizable for the query editor.
  • Made some attempts at fixing autocomplete window sometimes appearing in the incorrect location.
  • Autocomplete delay now has a preference.
  • Fixed a crash some MSSQL users would see.
  • Fixed an issue where importing CSVs into a new table would fail.
  • Improved support for SSH tunnelling when using 'restored UI'.
  • Fixed an issue where Postgres 'alter table' would not show size of 'character' data types.

The software is quite nice, but the constant battle to avoid installing macupdate desktop makes me question whether its worth bothering.

Have recently begun using using the lite version of this product.. Now ready to buy and the price has just about doubled! Is there a reason for this? Was some magnificent feature added that the price has now jumped so high? The price on this page shows 14.99, the original price I saw, but on AppStore and homepage website it is 29.99. Application didn't get to use it much yet, seems good so far.

Looks great and seems quick, but..... 5 minutes and 3 queries into my new purchase, it crashed. Should have downloaded the trial first, but reviews were very positive, so I thought I would take a chance. I guess I made a mistake. I'll try it again later, and if it continues to crash, I'll send the full crash report to support (v 1.0.13 / 53). This is a nice Postgres client, very fast and lean and worth every cent, currently $7.49. It is so good I have no need for any other client. Also the developer has proved to be very response as I have raised bugs and they have been fixed overnight. I would encourage anyone developing on Postgres to try this out and put in some feature requests ASAP if they find anything they want is missing as it is being actively improved right now.

Not free, $29.99. Seems like a fair price for what it does--and apparently does it well--but it's not the same as free.
