Andy free download for Mac

Andy

46.1.108
30 January 2017

Run your Android apps directly from your Mac with this full Android OS for Mac.

Overview

Andy (was Andy OS) is the first full featured mobile operating system that runs on any Mac, and in the Cloud - it breaks the barrier between desktop and mobile computing, while keeping you up-to-date with the latest Android OS feature upgrades. It also provides users with unlimited storage capacity, Mac compatibility, and the freedom to run the most popular Android apps on a desktop. Thanks to seamless connection between desktop and mobile, you can receive a SnapChat phone picture on the street and see it on your desktop at home. Only Andy OS syncs to the users' Google play account through the cloud. This means that you don't lose app history between an app on your phone and the same app on your Mac. With Andy OS your devices are synced, so any app you run on Andy OS, you can run on your phone - and visa versa.

Yes it installs MacKeeper, but you wilI immediately neutralize it with AppCleaner or else — not a big deal, when you know your stuff. ;-) After that, I was able to test a bunch of apk I've downloaded from Google Appstore (like a real Android it gives errors when you try an apk from outside: in fact, what I regret is that there's no communication between the Android simulator and your Mac, you can't, for instance, drag/drop an apk you've DLed on your Mac). Some apps are not compatible, but those which are ok are working as intended, mostly. I don't know if I will ever really need it, but it's nice to have it around just in case.

Signed up just to leave this rating. Keep mackeeper and Opera off my mac. Also failed installation on High Sierra. It seems I am better off buying a HuaWei to run any Droid stuff. Bluestacks also did not install.

It installs unwanted and useless softwares and it's full of annoying adds. Even if BlueStack is far from being perfect, it a much better alternative than this.

Sophos picked up this little gem from the installer:

"Install Core Installer" is an installer which bundles legitimate applications with offers for additional third party applications that may be unwanted by the user. Such third party applications are typically installed onto users’ computers by default, but may include an option to ‘opt-out’ during or after the installation process.

If a product, as a default, attempts to install other software I initially was I unaware of, or attempts to have me install something not mentioned in the product description, It's malware in my book.

hey! I was kicked out and banned in Andy Support Facebook Group Page. That is so very rude. That make the application and the people of Andy inferior. I'm just honestly telling them that Andy is not really working on MACS, and use other emulators which are working like Bluestacks and Droid4X for the mean time.

I loved Andy! currently still waiting for an update so it will work on El Capitan. Me, like many other MAC users updated their MACs to the latest greatest thinking that Apple would have fully beta tested before it's release. Of course any manufacturer including M/$, and their ill fated Windows 10 recently released, have suffered fielding numerous support calls saying 'Why Won;t This Work?, Why Won't that work?' It's hard to believe that both of these super giants in the O/S industry would have released a product that broke numerous packages out there. I have a strong feeling that were Steve Jobs still alive, he would have postponed the release until further testing had been done. And, of course, I'm sure you've all heard, we, how can I get back to Mavericks or Yosemite, only to be met with the answer, Fully reload your MAC...that's one helluva way to treat your customer. OK Rants over. I love Andy, and I prefer it over Bluestacks as well. and I know, that when the Andy developer gets the new port for El Capitan, we'll be the first to know! Have a Great day!
