First, I would like to say that I am not a bible basher and I am not one to say that the bible is a lie and a joke. However, I do believe the bible has been used and re-interpreted, if not rewritten, by corrupt relgious leaders to be used to their advantage. This is still happening to this day. George W. Bush staunchly proclaims his christian beliefs, yet he allowed a mentally chanllenged human to be executed. You need to face the fact that the old testament is mythology. Just like Zeus, Appolo, Athena..etc... Let's start at the begining. God created the universe in six days.... Okay, then he had to rest on the seventh...? The all powerfull creator of the universe, had to take a break? This hardly passes for a child's story rather than a basis for creation. (I feel this way about most of the old testament.). I will not get into the details of how god's people pro-created without commiting incest. (and do it all over again after Noah.). "Thou shall not make onto/worship any graven image, (idols).." How about the cross? Actually, the image of Jesus is worshiped, I see it all over. It is like a advertisement that you are christian and are superior to the sinners, (everybody else). Worship the ideas, feelings and teaching of Jesus. They are not forceful and dogmatic. Jesus may be the way, but his is not the only way. I hope you can understand this. If not, then so many will continue to turn away from Jesus' teachings. This is indeed a very large universe. Do not force your beliefs on people, teach them.

"The great unmentionable evil at the center of our culture is monotheism. From a barbaric Bronze Age text known as the Old Testament, three anti-human religions have evolved--Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. These are sky-god religions. They are, literally, patriarchal--God is the Omnipotent Father--hence the loathing of women for 2,000 years in those countries afflicted by the sky-god and his earthly male delegates. The sky-god is a jealous god, of course. He requires total obedience from everyone on earth, as he is not just in place for one tribe, but for all creation. Those who would reject him must be converted or killed for their own good." --- GORE VIDAL

I want a program that will give me atheist quotations! No biblical crap can be compared to the breathtaking wisdom of Bertrand Russell, Carl Sagan, Richard Dawkins, Stephen Hawkins, Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton and all the people who seek knowledge through the only feasible path: THE USE OF REASON.
