Open-source IDE for Arduino.


The open-source Arduino environment makes it easy to write code and upload it to the I/O board. It runs on Windows, OS X, and Linux. The environment is written in Java and based on Processing, avr-gcc, and other open-source software.

  • Update to 1.4.7 (based on the new arduino-cli)

Something is wrong here. MacUpdate is showing 1.7.6 as the latest version but the Arduino/Genuino website ( still shows 1.6.5 as being the latest. It looks like MacUpdate has gotten the version number from Arduino srl (the company that used to make the boards for They claimed the Arduino trademark in Italy and forked the software to form and compete with Go to the site to find the latest version.
