Finally a replacement for tangerine with some nice additional features like sending colors to Illustrator or Photoshop or sync via Dropbox.

Actually updated again, for Mojave.. I had lost faith in this dev.. He should also update his app on here, instead of leaving the date to 2015... I jut checked color apps again as I'm getting sick and tired of SIP, the app that tries too hard. Glad can go back to Colors Pro. Much better.

That's a bug on Apples side. It was fixed some weeks ago and in the latest seed they screwed it up again :-(

Highly Recommend!!! If you work with Colors and need a decent Color Picker with Sync for your other Mac.... here it is! I Use this with Spectrum and the combination is the best i have found so far. I really love Spectrum and it helped me often to find the best Colors.... So now with Color Pro & Spectrum i'm very happy!!!

... finally after 5 Days i got no License Key.
It was very hard to find the Owner email... to get in contact...
No Contact form or other hint's how to contact the Dev...
I ask the Dev why i get no license key...
The Answer was he sent me a Refund and don't want my Money and don't want to sell to me...
I use Spectrum now and i'm very Happy with it!

THE BEST COLOR PICKER. PERIOD. DON'T LOOK ANY FURTHER. And the PRO version is non-AppStore, which to me is a bonus of sorts. I've just tested it through and through. I got all confused before and posted a zillion comments (my bad.. sorry.. Hate me not people !).. BUT if you are in design, web design, graphics etc. This is a God-sent app. The only app you really need on top of Apple's limited and frustrating "toy-like" ColorPicker. I bought a whole bunch of these "ColorPicker" Apps. Never quite satisfied (I have no agent and no chef btw LoL Do you think I'm satisified ?!).. apart by Tangerine and ColorSchemer this is the best (both apps are not being developed anymore BTW). I REALLY HOPE IT TAKES OVER SUFFICIENTLY FOR THE DEV TO KEEP DEVELOPING IT OVER TIME. PS01: I would really appreciate the ability for the window to be resizable. PS02: I'm not sure to what extent it could support Pantone libraries.. Some older picker way back could load Adobe's InDesign Pantone libraries.. But in any case I mostly work in Web Design these days. PS03: I just deleted all my other ColorPicker apps, though I did keep some "non-apps" colorpickers like Coolorus, Skala Color, Antetype and ProPicker (all are free except for Coolorus). PS04: It's one of those few apps that could go up there with DefaultFolder as a Mac's user "must haves". And I'm not getting paid for all this praise. I'm just glad finally someone got their head out of their *ss !!! I work with colors daily and need an efficient worflow !!!

I’ve managed to write a Color Picker Plugin that enables you to access all colors, palettes and schemes stored in the Colors application. Unfortunately, such a plugin bundle is not allowed anymore to access the file system in order to load the Colors Application library and to ‘listen’ for changes to that library. I’ve found a workaround but unfortunately this won’t work for a sandboxed Mac App Store app; or in other words: Such an app will never pass the review. I've tried everything and even asked Apple for help - but there is no chance to get it past the review :-( Therefore, I had to write another version: Colors PRO. It comes preloaded with the bundle, allows you to store your library in your Dropbox or BitTorrent Sync folder and, under the upcoming Yosemite, even in your iCloud Drive. Now you can have your colors, palettes, and schemes everywhere. For example in Pixelmator and Co; including search for their names, titles, descriptions, and their HEX and RGB values. It is almost like Tangerine, just better :–)

Sorry , I just realized this, and actually purchased the PRO version. I'm really glad someone is finally proposing a complete ColorPicker type approach. I was sooo sad when Tangerine started bugging with newer OS versions.

Please don't let this app die for the next 10 years or so !!!! I think it can and should take over all other Color Pickers that are really all pretty damn limited.

So did the dev just rename Colors that was put here a few days ago.. already ?! And made it more expensive, or is it actually a different app than Colors (description seems to be the same).. if so.. how exactly different is it !? Brand new and already confusing.

Ok, one thing PRO has that the regular does not is a system-wide colorpicker, similar to what Tangerine had. Clever. Now I really want to get this app, the Mac is so sorely missing a perfect color-picking solution (Tangerine was that but is dead). Finally someone is jumping into this breach. It's about time. I just think this PRO versus non-pro thing will possibly confuse people. Unless the dev makes it really clear as to the differences between the offers.
