Just to offset my first rating, the developer fixed the issue as per my email. Now it functions correctly in Safari 8.0. :)

Doesn't seem to work correctly on 10.10 Public Beta. The field with the URL is drawn under the background of the path bar, and then the URL is drawn under the field.
I could not get it to work.
