I prefer Mono Menulet—is that one still available & being developed?—, but I've tested Mauno, while it was still in beta, and it's great. Have always needed this kind of tool: lots of videos by amateurs with bad audio, and it's always a hassle to go to system preferences and switch to mono manually.
