Didn't work for me. This is basically the command line mupdfclean binary plus a workflow service. In any event, I ran it on a PDF that is password-secured to prevent editing. It made a nice sound after a second to indicate it was done, but the PDF was still secured (I thought it might have created a new unsecured PDF, but a search of my hard drive didn't turn up anything). To be fair, the PDF I tested it on uses Adobe's latest security protocol, and won't even open in Preview on 10.8 as a result (I have to use Acrobat to view it), but it might work on PDFs using an older security protocol.

Worked perfectly! Using OS High Sierra. Heard the chime after running the service and now I can edit the PDF.

Noted. Thanks for your feedback and address this issue. In normal circumstances, it will replace original file automatically right after the sound. For typical password-protected PDFs it should work. Only possible explanation is Adobe latest security protocol is preventing the DRM from being removed. Will delve more on the latest protocol. Please give me some time for the next update. :)
