It certainly isn’t Mathematica, but if you bristle at the thought that ‘calculation’ is somehow synonymous with arithmetic and loathe endless variations on traditional numerical calculating ‘apps’, this may well be for you. The application handles all mathematics symbolically (‘algebraically’) and goes well beyond the usual arithmetic and trigonometric functions, offering a full suite of algebraic and calculus-related functions. It offers a numerical solver, an algebraic solver and an ordinary differential equation solver, though the latter hinges upon a comparatively weak (high-school level) integral engine. I find it fairly easy to come up with integrals that it cannot solve, particularly those that involve hypergeometric functions. I highly recommend this application. It’s a niche product, but a nice one.
