Sometimes ArtView works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it's really slow or there are question marks all over the preview pane. I didn't have problems like this with SneakPeek Pro. I don't know if this is because of changes with the way Adobe CC files are rendered, or because of some obscure OS X 10.9 change. Or maybe you need both installed?

Currently very unhappy with how this is handling my InDesign files from prior to CC - it's just not working. An email to them a few days ago has not received a response except the automatic acknowledgement that it has been received. I'll upgrade this review once I get a response - if I ever do.

I was originally confused about how Art View works because it no longer uses a system preference pane but instead is a stand-alone app. But it works in Quick Look and Cover Flow even when the app is not running so after getting over my initial confusion (which the developer resolved for me in an e-mail), I find it works fine. In my case, I use it most to preview Raw image files. But the fact that it works for a wide variety of file formats justifies the price, in my opinion. YMMV.

Seems this is just an updated version of SneakPeek Pro for Adobe CC documents. As I can't see any enhancements, SneakPeek Pro still works AND there was NO response from CodeLine about an upgrade plan, I'll stick with SneakPeak Pro. If CodeLine want me to upgrade, they should respond to my mail.

OK, so they managed to contact us with an upgrade offer.
To the enhancements over SneakPeak Pro:

- CC Support (actually I have found SneakPeak work fine for CC files)
- compatibility with other quicklook plugins (bug fix as it seems)
- Reveal images and fonts in the Finder

I took advantage of the upgrade offer and is working well with my ID and AI files. I see the fonts, images, and colors that I used are listed in the preview.

This includes Quick Look support for FreeHand MX (!) and EPS files; but doesn't show the font and color list. No support for QuarkXPress 9 files.

I'm running version 1.0. A check for updates says 1.0 is the latest release. Meanwhile I just downloaded and installed 1.02. Moral: don't trust the "Check for updates" function!

Although this is a Quick Look enhancement, it's super-easy to install and uninstall…

To install:
1) Download and double-click

To Uninstall:
1) Drag to trash end empty

When installing, registering and it may take a few minutes for the Quick Look system to update. You can speed things up by doing a log-out and log-in.

Please et us know if you have any questions.

But the ability to preview is only the beginning. Illustrator and InDesign documents are not only pretty to look at, but they also show useful information like what images are linked within the document, what fonts have been used, what colors are defined and a whole lot more. And to make things even better, clicking fonts and linked images reveal their files in Finder. It’s miraculous what Quick Look can do with Art View.
