Enhanced Quick Look support for Adobe Creative Suite and Cloud.

Overview

Art View: Quick Look enhancement for Creative Suite and Creative Cloud.

Download and launch Art View. Suddenly your graphics files’ Quick Look previews come to life. Illustrator files preview with or without PDF compatibility, InDesign files show their embedded previews for the first time outside of Bridge, and Adobe Swatch Exchange files show up as beautiful mosaics for the first time, well, ever. The list goes on and on.

But the ability to preview is only the beginning. Illustrator and InDesign documents are not only pretty to look at, but they also show useful information like what images are linked within the document, what fonts have been used, what colors are defined and a whole lot more. And to make things even better, clicking fonts and linked images reveal their files in Finder. It's miraculous what Quick Look can do with Art View.

Not sure why folks are having problems. I just installed the trial version on Yosemite 10.10.3 (public beta) with Adobe CS5, CS6 and CC 2014, and it's working nicely. Super handy when you need to check out an entire folder full of ID documents in a hurry. If you're getting a blank page preview, your document might be facing pages with a blank placeholder. Give it another try, maybe?

Not working. Downloaded for a try but just shows nothing. Luckily there is a 15-days-trial, so you don't have to pay for it to see that it does not work.

Developers apparently caught flatfooted by changes in Yosemite 10.2 that broke Art View, and absolute silence from them on efforts - if any - to fix the problem. Been using Art View since long before it was called Art View. Fine program all along. Useless now.

@CodeLine, AV stopped working in 10.10.2 (no preview, no icons, only info and used colors...) Any update in the works? Thanks

Sometimes ArtView works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it's really slow or there are question marks all over the preview pane. I didn't have problems like this with SneakPeek Pro. I don't know if this is because of changes with the way Adobe CC files are rendered, or because of some obscure OS X 10.9 change. Or maybe you need both installed?

Currently very unhappy with how this is handling my InDesign files from prior to CC - it's just not working. An email to them a few days ago has not received a response except the automatic acknowledgement that it has been received. I'll upgrade this review once I get a response - if I ever do.

I'm running version 1.0. A check for updates says 1.0 is the latest release. Meanwhile I just downloaded and installed 1.02. Moral: don't trust the "Check for updates" function!

I was originally confused about how Art View works because it no longer uses a system preference pane but instead is a stand-alone app. But it works in Quick Look and Cover Flow even when the app is not running so after getting over my initial confusion (which the developer resolved for me in an e-mail), I find it works fine. In my case, I use it most to preview Raw image files. But the fact that it works for a wide variety of file formats justifies the price, in my opinion. YMMV.

Seems this is just an updated version of SneakPeek Pro for Adobe CC documents. As I can't see any enhancements, SneakPeek Pro still works AND there was NO response from CodeLine about an upgrade plan, I'll stick with SneakPeak Pro. If CodeLine want me to upgrade, they should respond to my mail.

Although this is a Quick Look enhancement, it's super-easy to install and uninstall… To install: 1) Download and double-click To Uninstall: 1) Drag to trash end empty When installing, registering and it may take a few minutes for the Quick Look system to update. You can speed things up by doing a log-out and log-in. Please et us know if you have any questions. Matheau Dakoske Code Line
