Wow, what a nice surprise. For the price I expected it to be a basic 3D program, which would have been fine. But it turns out that it has the kinds of features you find in the expensive apps: modeling, animation, rendering, a node system, etc. And it has a Text-to-3D feature that the big apps don't have. You can create objects and scenes just by typing a few words or phrases! This feature depends on an object library which is a bit limited now, consisting mostly of architectural items. But the company says they are going to keep expanding the library. I think RaySupreme will give the big guys a run for their money!

Sadly it seems support and development is lacking. We're using 1.6 on Mac OS 10.7.5 macbook (2.4 ghz intel core 2 duo with 4GB ram). Every time we try to use Room, Cottage and Wall in the materials and it crashed the program. I tried to sign up for forums and contact support directly, but received various errors on their website. Maybe our computer is too small to handle it.

Creating a software is one thing, but learning it is another one. Many good company are so ambitious to put their software on the market that they forget to put good tutorial for their software. I think a few videos are important to value the quality of a software. For me the creation of the software is 50% of the success and the other 50% goes to the customers by using it. If people pass to much time of learning one simple thing from the software (because of reading or trying figure out how to do this and this...) is the other 50% of the success of the software. I think RaySupreme is one of these softwares. The learning curve is quite difficult.

Ah, awesome and interesting app. But, before or purchasing it, I am afraid that this app don't be easy and quick. Blender 3D, was awfully difficult and takes a lot of time, I don't have time of learning many tutorials videos, but I have to force myself to learn without fear. Does this app makes something like the following icons? 1) http://iosicongallery.com/productivity/ikonica/ 2) http://iosicongallery.com/games/hit-tennis-3/

3) http://iosicongallery.com/travel/metrobot/ To make relatistic and 3D icons in Photoshop, Inkscape, Sketch and Illustrator was very difficult. It takes a lot time of work. My creativity is limited to 2D, flat, solid and basic design. I tried to make that of that way and I was frustrated and deceived and I abandoned the graphic designer. I was able to make only one 3D icon in Inkscape, it took 6 hours. I wish RaySupreme be easy and quick, so it would be my Saviour.

@ Gustavo, I would suggest downloading the demo version and trying the following tutorial to get you familiar with RaySupreme http://www.braindistrict.com/tutorials/raysupreme-tutorial?locale=en After this, I would then try to replicate the 3D icon you made for Inkscape. We shall be posting more tutorials soon.

Got this for my son who wants to do more 3D drawings. But he's in 4th grade and not ready for more complicated programs. He really likes it and we decided to buy it. Two wishes: 1. An index of beginner tutorials. 2. A free upgrade to 1.2 (or whatever is supposed to be out next month) for those who bought 1.1 in August (smile)

Application is very slow. If you are rendering at normal quality or high expect hours to render one picture in good resolution. Other programs (e.g. Kinemac) will render whole 1080p animation in a few minutes.

Hi Jovanmac, The rendering speed is something we are working on for the next version and it will be seriously faster. The next version will be released around the end of September with more improvements and new additions.

Kinemac is not a 3D raytracing app but more of a Quicktime based compositing app. You cannot really compare the two.

I would never had ventured into getting 3D software before I came across RaySupreme, both due to my abilities with using 3D and costs. Still after seeing the adverts on how easy it is to start creating 3D objects with RaySupreme I decided to set some time aside and explore. After several of hours (newbie) getting familiar with the Help guides and tutorial, I truly began to get excited in using this software. The fact that I could also create a scene by typing it, is amazing, although it is currently limited with the amount of things you can describe right now, it has left me with a smile on my face for the last 2 days. Well done BrainDistrict and I can't wait for more tutorials
