CDRViewer overview

Open and view CorelDRAW (.cdr), CorelDRAW Template (.cdrt) and Corel Presentation Exchange (.cmx) files on your Mac — no CorelDRAW installation required. CDRViewer is designed exclusively for macOS with a native, Preview-style interface that feels right at home.

Open CDR files instantly

Double-click any .cdr, .cdrt or .cmx file and see it rendered with beautiful accuracy. CDRViewer supports files created in CorelDRAW versions from the classic releases through 10, including compressed formats.

Multi-page support

Navigate documents with multiple pages effortlessly. The Preview-style sidebar shows thumbnails of every page, letting you jump between them with a single click.

Smooth zoom & pan

Zoom from 5% to 2000% with smooth, animated transitions. Pan freely around large artwork, or fit the entire document to your window with a keyboard shortcut.

Detailed inspector

See file information, page dimensions, embedded images, and more at a glance. Perfect for print professionals who need to verify document specs before sending files to production.

Layer list

A new sidebar showing the drawing's layers, groups and objects. Search it, filter by type, and click any row to outline that object on the canvas.

Crop an area

Drag a rectangle anywhere on the canvas and it goes to the clipboard as an image — drawn fresh at full resolution, so a crop taken while zoomed out is still sharp.

Measure

Rulers and a measurement tool, in millimeters, centimeters, inches or point.

Export to any format (Pro)

Convert CorelDRAW files to the formats you actually need:

  • PNG — lossless quality with transparent background support
  • JPG — compressed for web and sharing
  • PDF — vector-quality print-ready output
  • SVG — scalable for web and further editing
  • TIFF — lossless format for print industry
  • DXF — AutoCAD Drawing
  • EPS — Encapsulated Postscript Format

Export single pages, page ranges, or entire multi-page documents at any resolution from 72 to 600 DPI.

Customization

Choose your background color per document, or set a default for all future files. Light, dark, and transparent backgrounds help you see your work the way you want.

Free to try

View up to 3 files per day for free. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited viewing, unlimited file sizes, export in all formats, and access to every upcoming feature.

Privacy first

CDRViewer runs entirely on your Mac. Your files never leave your device. No uploads, no cloud processing, no tracking. Fully sandboxed for your security.

Why CDRViewer?

Mac users have long struggled with CorelDRAW files. You either needed to install Windows, pay for expensive conversion tools, or rely on sketchy online converters that upload your files to unknown servers. CDRViewer solves this with a fast, native Mac app that respects your privacy and your workflow.

Whether you're a graphic designer receiving files from clients, a print professional preparing jobs for production, or just someone who needs to view that old .cdr file — CDRViewer is the simple, reliable solution.

Designed for macOS

Native Apple design language, full dark mode support, multiple languages, and keyboard shortcuts that feel familiar. Built with SwiftUI for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

What's new in version 2.1.1

New tools
  • Eyedropper. Hover to read any colour in the drawing, click to lock it. Where the file states a colour you get the exact CMYK or spot ink the designer set; elsewhere you get the colour as it will image. The readout says which, and copies all three notations at once.
  • Cropper. Copy an area. Drag a rectangle anywhere on the canvas and it goes to the clipboard as an image — drawn fresh at full resolution, so a crop taken while zoomed out is still sharp.
  • Both live in the new Tools menu, alongside Measure and Drawing Scale.
Object inspector
  • A new Object tab in the inspector. Select anything and see what the file says about it — size and position, fill with the exact CMYK or spot ink the designer set, outline colour and width, dashes, transparency. For text: the font, size, colour and content.
  • Click to select. Click any object on the page to select it — no tool needed. It highlights on the canvas and its row opens in the object list, and vice versa.
Printing
  • Print (⌘P), from the File menu or the toolbar. Vector output, so it stays sharp at any size, with page ranges and scaling from the standard macOS dialog. What you see is what prints — hidden objects stay hidden.
Export
  • DXF export. Send a drawing to AutoCAD or any CAD application as editable geometry: paths, layers, colours and live text. Placed images are left out and gradients flattened — DXF has no equivalent for either — and the export tells you what it left behind.
  • EPS export. PostScript for print workflows and sign cutting: paths, CMYK, outlined text, embedded images and gradients. Placed photographs travel with the file rather than being referenced.
  • Export a single page by right-clicking its thumbnail.
  • Exporting no longer blocks the app. The panel closes as soon as it knows what to write, and the drawing's own window shows progress. Large exports leave the app usable throughout.
Settings
  • Bleed amount, low-resolution warning threshold, and an option to scroll to the object you select in the object list.
Also
  • Page thumbnails scale with the sidebar instead of staying one size
  • Icons on the zoom menu items
  • More space between the sidebar and inspector tabs
  • Page bounds and bleed outlines now sit under the rulers rather than over them
  • Text objects show their size and position in the inspector
  • Hiding an object no longer resets the zoom

I have an Intel Mac with 10.6.8 but when I try to install it I get "CDRViewer can’t be installed on this computer." Can't even open the .pkg file as it has been flattened.
