For this they think I'm going to take the time to download, install, and sit through a reboot?

A note for those of you using nVidia's web drivers: this update makes the system incompatible AGAIN, so it falls back to the base OS X drivers. (Way to go, nVidia.) If that annoys you like it does me, you might want to hold off on this update until nVidia gets a clue.

This update works fine so far. Still hoping for an AirPlay button in QuickTime Player, ala iOS! Come on Apple!

Downloaded file is 1.3MB, not 26, so is the DL corrupted or there is an error in the file size being reported here?

From the subtitle: "For all Mac users introduced in 2012" As in: Born this year and got my first MacBook to play with in my craddle. Or: If you buy a Mac we'll introduce you to... whomever.

As in, if you're going to make fun of a typo on MacUpdate, you should probably spell "cradle" correctly.

I figured it's the the devs that post their updates here on MacUpdate, so I was actually making (or trying to make if you prefer) fun of Apple and not MacUpdate. As for the typo: thanks for pointing out. Never wrote that word before and probably (?) won't ever again, since English is not my first language.

That "introduced" thing **is** a statement that needs clarification. I installed OS10.8x in 2012, my CPU is pre-2012, some of my hardware is 2012. I guess I'll run the AppStore updater mode a bit later to find out.

Hey, what can I say, we're trying to get newborns hooked on Macs while they're young ;) Thanks for pointing that out, I've made it just a bit more clear :)

If you have a recovery partition set to an external drive, make sure you verify the disk which will update the "boot support partitions". My RAID configuration doesn't support the recovery partition so I had no choice but to set it externally. If you set it to another drive for any reason, just verify it so you won't be stuck when you really need it.
