Create icons from images.

IconFly is designed to simplify the creation of Appiconset or a full set of icons for your macOS, iOS, and watchOS applications. All you need to do is import an image, pick your icon type, generate icon previews and export; or you can use QuickIcon feature to create icons without previews generation step.

IconFly supports Appiconset for:

  • macOS 10.14
  • iOS 12 with iPhone Xr, iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max, and iPad Pro
  • watchOS 5 with Apple Watch Series 4

You can save the Appiconset generated by IconFly directly to Assets Catalog inside your project, and it's ready to use with no additional steps. It contains all the necessary icon dimensions and a properly formatted JSON file.

After many MANY years I finally needed to move on from using FastIcns. As great as FastIcns is/was it could not handle retina icon sizes, and hasn't been updated since 2007. I purchased IconFly for .99 cents during Cyber Monday deal. I have been very pleased with it. I particularly like the mask feature which makes it easy to apply the 'rounded' corners on icons and even full circular mask as well. I used to have to do that in a graphics program and apply it to every size needed. IconFly is literally one button generation to apply the mask and generate all the sizes needed. The edges of the mask are very clean and neat. Frankly, not sure I would have bought it for $6.99, but for .99cents and after trying the trial, it was an easy decision.

this all in one version of IconFly generates OSX, iOS, web and Watch icons. if you only want desktop, or whatever, you can purchase a version just for that format for $3.99.

RIP FastIcns, you served me well.

I searched a sunstitute for Folder Icon X and found this and FolderIconCreator. Together both programs are great and very easy to handle. IconFly is very stable, fast and makes it easy to get wonderful icons from suitable pictures. Thanks to the developers...

How can anyone gauge the effectiveness of an app like this without a preview of how it is going to work on his Mac? No one can buy anything blindly and if they do when it doesn't work the way they expected then they only have themselves to blame!
