It’s a decent app, but it needs to stop recommending me the rest of their products (that I already own and have installed mind you) after buying the in-app purchases.

When CleanMyDrive 2 is allowed to "Launch on system startup," which is its default setting, it somehow causes ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginitems.plist to be mostly obliterated.
