Beginning today we’ll no longer sell or provide updates for Snapseed Desktop for Macintosh and Windows. Existing customers will continue to be able to download the software and can contact us for support. We’ll continue to offer the Snapseed mobile app on iOS and Android for free.

As of Wednesday March 13, 2013 Google has stopped selling the OS X version of Snapseed and will not provide updates. (Existing customers can still get support and download the program.) Mobile versions of Snapseed have not been affected.

Slow and clunky. Every affect has to be applied. If you want to undo anything prepare for a long walk back.
It's a lot more fun and fast to work with CameraBag 2 with its dynamic building blocks and instant effects.
On the plus side, the tilt/shift effect is cool and unique. The u-handle possibilities open some creative doors as well, but the whole process is so slow and painful and produces such mediocre results (relatively speaking) that I can't imagine trying to do serious work in Snapseed, whereas with CameraBag 2, one could quickly process an entire pro set with individual tweaks per image.
Snapseed is a very slow toy.

Though it is not mentioned in the description or requirements this seems to be a 64-bit app. Really should be in the app description especially as this is App Store only.
