Looks like interesting software but there's one problem - it is listed as freeware but it is NOT free. Prices are on the developer's website. I don't know if the developer is being deceptive, has a different definition of 'free' than most people or what but that makes me leery.

The Crap Store version is price ambiguous as well. I installed it and did a quick job which you can see here: http://cl.ly/2e2Z2b451l0W2e3A2e0c It seems straight forward and it looks good to my untrained eyes, the drawbacks that I did notice were lack of support for my Intuos 2 and the smallest brush setting was too big for detailed work like trees (it would be nice if you could select an area to apply or erase the effect). Also it has an unconventional save dialog, it all but forces you to save it as a new file rather than writing changes to the original file so that could be a good thing. If it truly is free than it is a pretty good app, but I wouldn't buy it without the ability to be more detailed in where the effect is applied and graphics tablet support. I guess only time will tell if I get nagged, but I believe that would be against Crap Store policy so I don't expect to.

Well, turns out it does have a lasso tool that I was too oblivious to see. That's what I get for trying a new app after shuffling files and doing maintenance all night.

Bah, it HAS a lasso tool but I can't get it to select. Nor can I find a user manual, but the dev does have forums set up that I have not yet tried. Wondering if the lasso is disabled in the free version.

Looks like the version available through the App Store is available for free. Is that just a demo, or some kind of 'lite' version?
