Interesting; I posted this previously but the comment was removed. The main functionality of this can be replaced by a half-dozen lines of Perl. So I did so and packaged it as an Automator Workflow - enjoy. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2671909/get_email.zip

not enough reviews for me to pay for this app. And 2.5 stars is not good.

Bundle these PHP code above with Automator.app, and you'll get a free Email Extractor with Drag-and-Drop support. * It can exclude address already present in the list. * It can separate one address from another. * Text encoding is irrelevant. And you can amend the code to make it a System-Service compatible version; in that case, you can select some text in Safari and call System Service to extract all email addresses.

Your perl script may have been removed because it only carries out partially its duties: contiguous addresses, separated only by a coma on the same text line, are recognized as garbage (pure concatenation).

We appreciate constructive criticism, but we think that this is not one of those. Your solution do not control if an address is already present in the list, our solution do it. Your solution do not separate one address from another, our solution do it. Your solution do not works with different encodings text, our solution do it. We do not ask money for 5 lines of pearl that every dummy can do, but we work to make any of our solutions useful and complete. We ask a small fee for our work, so we can continue to do better.
