I love this game, I've had the full version for 4 years and I still play it every now and then. The gameplay, graphics, controls are all excellent. And although I didn't even know the rules of American Football (I'm in Australia) the whole game is fantastic. I'm not sure about Multiplayer though, I had some trouble with it. But single player is awesome, the only game I still play after 4 years (and maybe Links LS)

Madden 2000 For the Mac is a great game. Using the keyboard is a bit difficult compared to using a Sony Play Station. The interface is not done well at all, I would even say confusing. The Red START button is always there, but instead your suppossed to advance throughthe setup by hitting the space bar which is not explained. I had to call tech support because I kept hitting the START button which would restart the whole process. Trying to juke while running takes a bit getting used to but thats typical of using a high volume key oriented program. The manual is average at best due to no index to simply look up a word and find it's instruction. For example if you want to learn how to Juke, instead of looking in an index, you need to fumble around the book to try to find it on a page. Madden and Pat do great dialog while the game is being played, although many times Madden will say something wrong or out of timing. For instance you may have run the ball for 200 yards which is a great day, yet Madden might say, they sure arent running the ball good today. Sometimes you will see a replay and then Madden will say "Lets see a replay of that". But, overall, the graphics are good, and the game is a lot of fun, the best available that I'm aware of and my hats off to ASPYR for a great product. On a scale of 1-10, with no competition in the market, I would give it a 9.5. When and if somebody ever puts out a game to compete with Madden 2000, then Madden would need to improve its manual and interface setup. My email address is dv17@hotmail.com. thx.
