Very small search window . Have several movies which I own which are not listed because they were remastered from the originals and cannot add any o the movies that I have made and which have been broadcast on PBS. Looks like I will stay wityh my own database that I created in Microsoft Access.

I've been looking for well over a year for a database designed for those of us with large movie libraries. I've gone the Excel route and the best I could do was a long list of movies. It told me nothing and would take forever to populate it with the relevant information to make it usable. This has everything. It quickly goes through your library and matches it against the imdB and populates all the necessary field automatically. If you have over a thousand movies, as I have, this is a godsend. I find my movies that I want easily. With the cover art and really extensive cast and crew list, I have everything. I can add my own reviews but Coolector thoughtfully provides you with a short synopsis. To top it off I can go directly to watching the movie from Coollector without having to look it up in the file menu. I was so impressed I sent in my $8.99 fee and got rid of the nag menu.

This is must have for anyone with a large collection .m4v files (movies). I was reduced to using a hand-made Excel spreadsheet for cataloging my collection which is very limiting. I followed a recommendation and another cataloging utility was virtually impossible to use. Coollector has everything. It automatically catalogs you movies, hunts up and finds the appropriate cover for the movie, finds an IMDb review, and an exhaustive cast list. It lets you customize your searches. This fills the bill for what I was looking for it. I highly recommend this app.

This application is awesome. I could go on and on but you get the picture. The only thing better than an awesome app would be the developer support. I sent the developer an email asking if there was any way to import the 580 or so movies in my DVD collection from DVD Cache. He emailed me back almost immediately asking that I send him some info about the app, which I did. Another quick email from him stated that setting up the import would be easy and that he would let know soon. Soon was right, in about an hour or less, he sent me a link to a revised Coollector Movie Database version that included import from DVD Cache. (no longer supported) I used the import function and all my movies moved over without any errors. Great, great support, and a great application.

Oh wow!! This is a gem of a software! The ease of use is what drew me towards it. But its the movie recommendations that are making me stay! Excellent in every way. Guys do you also plan on making a database for foreign movies? That would be amazing! Or does it exist already? Sorry, I just am not finished with the exploration yet!

One of a kind. Loving it. This will come in handy especially if you have tons of movies stored in your hdds. And also great for searching your next movie or finding childhood memory with precious little clues. One thing I'd see is to search just Movies(or TVs) with customizable vote count. This can give user more controls over what content they expect instead of seeing movies and TVs with all kind of vote count all over the place.

Beautiful and very complete database. Once I owned a videostore so i've seen a lot of movies . I could even find the most unknown movies in this database. Love it, a must have for any movie lover ! Keep it up

Looks very interesting program,but i think is time to ad as feature to export folders and synopsis for popular media players like Dune HD players and Mede8er players.This is what i want.Who is now in 2012 who watch dvds at a dvd player and how many dvds per year?Go to the next step,to be different from other programs like this (dvdpedia etc) and i will buy immediately CMD for Mac!
