The previous version worked very well, but for me the new one ... makes life harder. There may be a lack of instructions in Greek (although they are Greek developers) to have difficulty in synchronization operations. At some point they have to understand that we do not all have the same self-evident. I give 4 stars for the previous version.

not bad at all. opens lots of different formats, easy to resynch a subtitle, and pretty straightforward... Translation is not working though, it erases the subtitle. which is why im giving it 4 stars instead of five.

The app is ok, although the developers should really learn from the now discontinued Miyu. I still can't figure how to make line breaks, and looks impossible to sort the timings (both start and end). The app needs hotkeys customizations and is missing way too much features (the choice of text encodings, and many others!!)

I decided to dabble in putting subtitles in various downloads mostly because of the aging eyesight of various family members. I tried for a week with various subtitle editors and re-synch apps to VERY little avail. I was able to complete one movie only because it was 90% synced already. Then I discovered this app and within an hour I had successfully synched three movies beautifully. Yes - - the buttons are not quite what their own demo video shows but their FAQ's page does correctly show what the buttons do and do not do - - so I was able to get a better handle on the app itself. I have yet to attempt to put in my own subtitles. I am finding out that the downloaded srt files are often *quite* different than the actual audio - - mostly leaving out minor phrases or a few words in the specific statement. Most srt files are *very* close - - or close enough. Anyway - - this app works nicely. I heartily recommend it. I have had no stability issues whatsoever.

This is simply the best subtitle editor out there. And at its price, it is a steal. Writing subtitles isn't easy since you have to time when it starts and when it ends. After getting the hang of using the app, it works extremely well. But it does have a learning curve. It is stable. It hasn't crashed on me so far. I have modified and added subtitles to numerous videos. Note that to extract a subtitle from a video, you have to use MP4 Tools or other similar app. Then after editing the subtitle file, you can add it back using MPR Tools or similar app.

A demo or a trial would be nice. I would like to try before I buy. No demo, no buy.

Doesn't work for resyncing! And more, the video on the site is outdated, there are not the good buttons, the manual is missing. It did worked for converting SUB > SRT ... but there are other free apps for that. Dissapointed buying it.

Endured lots of pain trying to find a good subtitle editor, but most of them are either subpar or they can't even open mp4 or mkv files. This editor opens everything and it does it better than any other app of it's kind. Simply the best subtitle editor on the Mac... and simple to use. Great stuff, thanks! Love the interface as well.
