1.3.5

Displays mouse coordinates (was MouseCoord).

Overview

ScreenCaptCoord (was MouseCoord) shows the current coordinates of the mouse cursor.

It can draw a rectangle or an oval (see FAQ) to measure the pixels on the screen. It is intended to work with magnification software, such as Pixie, which is included in Apple's Developer tools, or others (Macnifier, etc.).
  • It can take screen captures and edit them (resize, crop).
  • It can display the ASCII code of a key and its name (US keyboard).

Please visit author's website for other version (Carbon or Cocoa) and old versions (PPC, previous systems, etc.).

Great program! Lets you display a background picture and measure pictures pixel dimension and mouse coordinates on the screen for scripting purposes easily. Just be sure to click the little square in the corner!

Doesn't work for me under 10.11.6. - the (transparent) window in which the coordinates are captured comes to the foreground and blocks the whole screen from access :/

It's normal, it's a veil which cover the screen. Click the small button on the upper left corner of the ScreenCaptCoord window to hide/show it, hold down shift key to invert fullscreen window or normal window. You can draw a form and see dimensions and coordinate.

Ah - the shift key, that is the trick. Got it. Could you disable the green full screen button maybe? It's really confusing. Thank you very much for your reply.

Why did you give it a 2-star review instead of leaving a comment or asking the developer?

I downloaded and tried to use the Application and didn't succeed intuitively. That's what my rating is based on. If there is a change that makes the Application work intuitively, I'm ready to give 5 stars any time. As long as it is not, to me it is two stars. That's what ratings are for after all, aren't they? Telling what you think about it and give the programmer honest feedback. I really appreciate any rating with constructive comments myself. Bad ratings without comments are really not nice, though.
