Well, at this moment I was able to download it for free from the Apple App Store. But I won't be using it. I like Typinator much better.

Note to users: the screenshots shown on MacUpdate are out of date. For the latest screenshots, check out the App Store. I can't change the ones here (MacUpdate error). I have reported the error to MacUpdate a few months ago, but they haven't fixed it yet.

Macupdate should not allow this product to promote itself as free; it is shareware wrapped in sheep's clothing.

Purchased DashExpander from the App Store today. I've been using xType for free. I found DashExpander to be harder to use than the free xType, which has many more and easier to use features

I was quite surprised to find that this app contained an 'in-app' purchase button. Maybe, all apps will finally go this way. This little app seems to be winning me over. However, I'm not so keen on not being able to increase the text size. The other thing is, and though it is of less importance, there doesn't appear to be a way to re-position the tags in the navigation menu window. Erm, apart from that it's a fantastic little snippet/text expander app for anyone wishing to experiment with even more gobble-de-gook. I suppose, you'd normally use a fraction of a snippet of already known markup or code in-order to lay down your stuff. Trouble is (with me), I'm into all sorts of peg systems and other self-made gobble-de-gooks, so even trying to remember a snippet of a snippet is going to be giving me headaches. Er, but that's my problem. LOL I'm currently studying French, and would also like to get back into web page building (one day), and an app like this could probably do it for me, though not exclusively, of course. The one thing about the navigation that I do like is that you can't actually have two tags open at the same time. Kind of makes sense, I suppose?
