Overview

Dia is a diagramming application that can be used to make a large variety of diagrams. Dia is easy to learn and flexible enough to allow power users to create highly customized diagrams. Below are two simple examples of diagrams that can quickly be created using Dia.

Damn. X11 is required... Hey... Dev-Team. If you really like Mac community - you must turn by front face2face. Linux and Opensource - are cool. I like Dia on Linux. But Mac World is not simple Port & Compile and Distribute - it won't work here! Read AHIG first. See Microsoft experience - evolution from Office '08 to Office '11.

I love this diagrammer. I have used it for years as a software developer and I can create very complex diagrams quickly. It does have its limitations but for 80% of the work I do it works well.

For some reason, Dia does not open. If it is opening, it's crashing very quickly.

I recommend trying Lucidchart instead. It runs in your browser, so you don't have to worry about it crashing or needing an update. https://www.lucidchart.com/

I think you'd like Lucidchart better. It runs on Mac and Linux and doesn't require X11. https://www.lucidchart.com/
