What's new in Music Binder Pro

Version 3.17:
  • Next Song Title object: the currently selected Filter is now taken into account by the Next Song Title object.
  • Alternate Version Window: s ome read-only fields were not read only.
  • Audio Playback
    • In some situations, the Artist was not taken into account to search the corresponding song in iTunes or Music.
    • For COVER, BACKING TRACK, PRACTICE and RECORDING special genres, the search for corresponding songs based on Title has been refined (more restrictive and better results).
    • For all genres, Titles with exactly the same length (found in iTunes or Music) are now selected with a highest priority.
  • Flags
    • Flags can now be added to any songs (see Song Menu).
    • Flags can be used to create setlist (new option in the Setlist Creator).
    • A new Predefined Filter "Flagged" has been added. Use this filter to quickly display all flagged songs.
    • Flags are saved when you exit Music Binder Pro. Flags can be recalled from the Song Menu (10 last sessions).
    • Flags can also be use as a Playback Queue (see Genre Menu) :
      • Flag twice a given song to put this song at the top of the Queue.
      • Flag all currently selected songs in a single operation
      • A tutorial will be available to give some examples of uses for this new feature.

I am really disappointed in this piece of software. I am looking for some time now for a proper software for storing all those html, plaintext-files and pdfs of songs I collected. I thought I finally found one, but I think now this is just an other variant of the OS X builtin Preview-App. Only files in a folder are shown in binder, and this is something builtin Quicklook can do very well. In Binder 2 I can neither rename the file or the artists name nor can I sort them in another, more flexible way than I can do in Finder. Binder 2 isn't specialized at all, I think. And without any function I can not realize with the OS X-functions it is not worth the 10$ for me. I planned to keep the music stuff seperated from my scientific files I keep in Papers, or my personal stuff in iDocuments but this isn't the right tool to do this. :( Support for Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad would be nice, too.
