Looks good, but then check the Community Reviews, most of them are warnings just like mine.

HA! It works! :-) Yay. There were a couple of minutes during the install when I wasn't sure, but this is a 100% clean Yosemite 10.10 install and so many "toys" were not migrated/imported. Trying to keep it clean by not migrating anything. VipRiser looks a lot like CUPS-PDF did, only much better interface. I'll update review if I discover a reason not to like it.

Excellent App though its name “VIPriser” is funny. It is a “must have tool” for all graphic designers and pre-press. There is a slight scope for improvement in its user interface, though. But it does a great job of what it is made for and does it pretty fast. I can't believe that such a useful app is made available for free.

The most useful feature of this app is (though the developer has not highlighted this!!) that it can let you “print booklet” and save that as PDF on your booklet. This is highly useful in creating montage (page orders with front & back) if you have to print a booklet in your office instead of printing press. You have to go through lot of pain if you have to do this manually. For example a A4 size 32 page booklet will have the page combinations such as cover page 32 - 01 and the back of it will be 02 - 31, and so on… This app will do it all by itself.

The only thing i don’t like about this app is that when you want to create high resolution file (300 ppi) it creates a large PDF file so, then i have to open that file in adobe acrobat to optimise for 300 ppi to get a normal printable file. Basically it doesn’t optimise the images included in your original indesign or illustrator file where as if you use acrobat that does it all. Well, then why not use the feature of “print booklet” built in the indesign or illustrator? Well, they don’t allow you to save the print file as PDF, thats why you’ll use VIPRiser. Some users reported error, may be their system is not configured properly or did not install properly. I am using latest OS El Capitan 10.11.6 on MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013), Processor 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7. I have installed on 3 other older iMacs running latest Mac OS and they are all working smoothly. Thank you app developer.

The free version fills my need when a book is last page first, and I need to reverse the order.

You don't have to reverse, it does all by it self.

Excellent! Works out of the box. It has to be installed on a host Mac like any other physical printer and then just be shared via Printer Sharing. And the best of all: It's free! Thanks.

Hmm, what am I doing wrong? I get error when adding the printer. It asks me to download the app from Apple store and I can't cancel it. First, I go add a printer and select the Print to VipRiser. I get this message "The software for “Print to VipRiser” may be available from Apple. Would you like to check, download and install it if it’s available?" Buttons: [Now Now] and [Install] Clicking "Not Now" stops the installation and takes me back to the "Add Printer" dialogue. Clicking "Install" takes me to Apple Updater window, asks for admin password etc.. but then it give me this message: The software is currently unavailable. You can check for the software later by choosing Software Update from the Apple menu. After clicking OK it takes me back to the "Add Printer" menu. Is there a way to stop this thing from checking for updates? I'm running on 10.6.8 and I am installing a version of VipRiser which is still compatible with 10.6.8 (or that's what it says..). Thanks.

OK, forget it. I figured it out by fooling the Apple Update process. I started regular update and at the same time I when and installed the printer. I assume because the update process was running and busy it just took me through to add the printer without incident.

Almost works as advertised. The crocodoc integration is interesting, I didn't know crocodoc before, it still works even though part of Box.com. Scary part is only what happens if I print confidential document by mistake to Crocobox and it becomes public.
The iTunes printing doesn't work properly, I suspect because I set iTunes to not to move songs to library when I add them to library (same with PDFs). So the printed document is saved in Cache folder, appears in iTunes but when I try to open, the document is immediately not available and iTunes says the link is broken.
Saving to Dropbox works fine. Automate integration is useful.
I wish there are more than 3+1 options available. I have more than 1 workflow I'd like to attach.
