Hey, you want to slim it down and call it mini? Ditch the "album cover feature", seriously.

I concur. I could care less about cover art. A genuinely minimalist player would be great.

I like the cover art and it's the distinguishing feature. I think I'm going to start using Musique a lot for basic organisation and listening. For critical listening I prefer Decibel or Fidelia, but neither of them are particularly good with metadata or playlists.

Nine Euros for the privilege of beta testing an 0.1 version open source product. Wow.

I agree: alphas and betas should be free.

Agree. 11$ for a beta of a cross-platform software is a joke.
You can buy Ecoute for 10$

This comment is incredibly outdated! Musique has always been pretty stable. After one year and a half Musique is also a very polished app.

  • Browse artist photos, album covers and folders too, so you can organize your music your way.
  • Has an immersive "Info View" you can switch to when listening. It contains valuable information about the current track, album and artist. When a new song starts, it will auto-update.
  • Supports scrobbling to Last.fm
  • Musique has just a single playlist. You can't go wrong, it's always there on the right.
  • Takes advantage of QuickTime and thus supports all common audio formats.
  • Not an iTunes addon. It's a completely independent application that does one thing and does it well.
  • Translated to more than 20 languages including German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian and Chinese.
Musique is great for those who appreciate its efficient simplicity. Also consider getting it as a gift for kids and other family members that may find other players too complex and cumbersome.
