UI Browser overview

PFiddlesoft's UI Browser helps you to explore, manipulate, and monitor the user interface of most OS X applications running on your computer. With the push of a button, it also generates AppleScript statements to control any application using GUI Scripting, even applications that are not otherwise scriptable. No other utility provides all of the information you need in order to write scripts using GUI Scripting.

What’s new in version 3.0.2

Version 3.0.2:
  • Clarifies UI Browser's alerts relating to registration and running as a native Apple silicon process or under Rosetta translation.

I get quite a bit of use out of UIBrowser as I do a lot of UI automation that Automator simply can't handle. UIBrowser is stable and well documented; the developer is also very responsive.

Dreaded package installer with no documentation with it in the dmg to let you know what it installs and where. Until that happens, I'm not going to even Demo this.

Judging by 1.3 this will be an absolutely Brilliant program gui scripting is often the only way to control certain functions in apps or the os - this allows you to quickly find the names of them and makes the code to perform basic tasks (like clicking them) i have used this to map my f and other keys (so quicksilver can run the scripts) to control much of the os Great work - looking forward to getting tiger James
