Tried the new version: still changed the aspect ratio when not needed. Why is this?

In many cases creates choppy videos especially when converting from NTSC source.

Hardburning subtitles still does not work and sometimes even creates a file with 0k file size.

Noticed this too in the FAQ:
How much does Adapter cost?
Adapter is free for a limited time.

I stick to Handbrake. Its free too and always delivers smooth and high quality videos.

Exactly what I needed. I was looking to some shareware on the internet and none of them was as useful, simple and effective as this one.... and it's free XD.

Nice app, the only thing missing is the ability to include subtitle tracks already in the original file.

This new version is full of bugs regarding encoding high quality. It worked kinda fine with 1.x but now it mostly produces less quality. Several tests revealed that with the same source material, the results with Adapter 2.x are lower video bitrate values for the same setting compared to 1.x
My guess would be the new ffmpeg version used is bad.

As other mentioned here, I too can confirm the subtitles problems. It doesn't work reliable. Sometimes it did encode, sometimes it ignored the subtitles.

Same as all previous versions, crashes when several huge files (+1GB) are in the cue. This happens at random on the second or third file. Probably bad memory management or leaks.

Adding a subtitle layer with srt file always results in a zero Kb file.

Buggy and for me not useable.

Just tried a .aif to .wav conversion (16bits/44.1KHz stereo file, bounced from ProTools): results in an 8 bit file! It's not even settable in the Bit Rate section!
A pity for this app that gave me full satisfaction for other conversions until now.

I tried to convert a 1.34 GB .mp4 to AVI and in less than 1 second Adapter created a zero KB AVI file. Whats up?
I used the option "Custom AVI (*.avi)" with all the default configurations.
