Tried out many of the alternatives in a quest to migrate to something more secure than SplashID. Found 1Password inflexible and unable to import most of my entries except as notes. mSecure is considered among the most secure of these password keepers. It's not fancy. It's basic interface has room for some improvement and some features are missing, including web browser integration. But it is flexible and solid. Using it on Mac and iOS and syncing with no problems.

Not many comments after Nov 2012 - does any one still use it?? There is now a pro version for $30 which allows Auto-fill/Auto-login features.

I've been using mSecure on both Mac and iPhone for over 2 years. I haven't tried other password management apps, but that should be considered a testament to the quality and ease-of-use of this app. It may not be as feature-packed as 1Password, but then again, it's not nearly as expensive. What you get is a reliable password management app that just plain works and you get excellent support (read below). When I first started using mSecure, I was working abroad in China and using an iPhone 3GS made for the Chinese market (no wifi in that model). While mSecure already implemented wifi syncing and email backups, it could not restore a backup from email on the iPhone app. I emailed the dev asking for this feature and not only did they reply the same day, they updated the iPhone app a couple days later. Kudos mSeven Software!

Just thought I'd try this, I find it has good features and excellent dropbox support though the setup is a little weird, I like the ability to save to a plain text CSV file that is easy to edit in Excel and Numbers, but I think the software is missing something namely the browser integration, this needs to be added as it's very important!!

I was looking to replace SplashID with another so I could sync my iTouch with my desktop. Unfortunately at this time mSecure does not support custom fields within a type. So while importing my items from SplashID was fairly easy, many imported files do not have any field names and there doesn't seem to be a way to edit them so they do.

I'm quite happy with this application. It's been a huge help, as the IT security Nazis have insisted on passwords so obscure that no human being could possibly remember them. (In Dilbert's words, from now on, all passwords must include letters, digits, sign language and squirrel noises.) And at the price, mSecure is a bargain.
