Looks like a nice little app, but Tweetie is free:

Tweetie is not free. It costs $19.95. Strangely enough, the Atebits site hasn't really been updated to reflect that Tweetie was purchased by Twitter. The Tweetie for iPhone page still lists Tweetie 2 even though it's not available anymore.

Very impressive. If you're a twitter user, it's well worth the 9 bucks.

Impressive! Finally a small twits app that doesn't require Tiger or Leopard! The prefs and submenus were much more than I expected. It uses italics for the secret direct messages! Why didn't anyone else think of this? It does some nice cacheing too. I could do without the scrolling ticker at the top, but it's cool.

This little guy does the Twitter thing simply and well. I love the ticker-style display and smooth handling of multiple accounts. The conversation threading is impressive as well.

Love this app. Allows me to indulge my addiction to Twitter while still making at least a modicum of progress on other work! It was very positively reviewed on the Neat Little Mac Apps podcast:

I have installed the version 7.7 and its a fine app for Twitter. I can really recommend it.

Since some days I get the following message from Twit Menulet:

"A newer version of Twit Menulet is available at twitmenulet.com!"

but there is only the usual trial version available.

Any hints?
