New Sticky is a little app that sits in the Dock (or wherever). Click on it, and it creates a new Sticky note in Dashboard.

There are widgets that do the same thing from within Dashboard, but this saves a click by opening Dashboard and creating the sticky note all in one action.
What's New
Version 2.0:
  • Faster execution! Your new sticky will appear before the icon can finish a single bounce in the Dock.
  • No longer an Automator app
Requirements
Intel/PPC, OS X 10.5 or later

Nice app. BUT how does one remove an individual note once it is longer needed?

Like all Dashboard widgets, if you hold down the option key and mouse over a Sticky, the close button will appear in the upper left corner. Click that to delete the note.
