This widget in v2.0.2 is simply a great piece of software. Not only does it work as it should (and this very fast) it is a very important program for me. Now nearly every important channel is reachable and the usage is better then ever. Even on a big monitor I had no problems in reading the text and the colors are well choosen. Many thanks to the developer!

NOS Teletekst changed their format. This teletext widget is now in version 2.1.5 and works again with NOS:

This is a very important utility for me because I could read the most news on the fly during my work at the Mac. It would be so good if the developer could insert a copy function, so I could paste some news into a text document for example into word or textEdit.. This widget is very small, stable and runs without any problems here with MacOS 10.9.4. A big 'thank you' to the developer...

What is happening with MacUpdate? I can't even use the download link anymore to download this widget. I need to go to the developer's website to download the archive. I do not want MU's install feature, I just want to download the software. And, yes, I have the new MU Desktop installed and no, indeed, I do not use its install feature.

We apologize for the error - there was a bug in our recent site update that was causing an issue for some users. You should be able to download as usually now. take care

Great widget! I wish it had the ability to add new channels, but mostly to display the subtitles of those channels (I have problems with VLC and was searching for an alternative ;-).

RTBF page 888 is an example (try it, you'll see ;-); most of the other channels subtitles are standardized on page 100 and sometimes 889. If you try VLC there is various settings for this and you'll see it defaults to 100. I use it all of the time but the PPC version of VLC has problems with it. But I can agree with you that it would be better to have a dedicated app, this one is for teletext general purpose. Thanks anyway for your reply. ;-)

Did you try RTBF page 888 with your widget? You can also try TSR2 page 777 (of course, if the current program has no subtitle you'll see a blank page). N.B.: the other channels I was talking about are the ones we can get here in France, through our internet providers, I don't know about the other countries. Every tv channel is at an internet address such as rtsp://mafreebox.freebox.fr/fbxtv_pub/stream?namespace=1&service=204&flavour=sd (it depends on the provider). How they use teletext for this purpose, I don't know...

Well last time I checked some channels, none of them provided subtitles. Check tsr2, current broadcast is subtitled, so I stay with "no data provided". To read a stream you would have to make a completly new application. This widget can only display publicly available teletext pages.

Ok, I'll try when possible with RTBF because it's the only channel present in your widget I can get here (just out of curiosity! ;-). Before digital came in, it was a nice way to get subtitles on your tv. Thanks for this little talk and thanks again for this nice widget! :-)

Swisstxt (SF channels) is trying hard to overhaul their site. They already failed 3 times and went back to the old one. Use 2.0.6 for viewing SF channels (http://oxorr.com/downloads/teletext2.0.6.zip?mu) until they succeed.

This is a great little widget! It does exactly what it should do. The text is perfect readable unlike many other programs. Only the number of german tv stations is a little small. It would be good to add ARD ZDF and BR (please)... Works great with 10.5.6 on an intel iMac.
