Extracts your iTunes iOS backups.

Overview

With JuicePhone, juice your iPhone backups - with style!

JuicePhone is the best way to turn your iPhone, iPod touch and iPad backups into a nutritious treat. While syncing your device, iTunes automatically backs up all of your data. JuicePhone is capable of extracting those backups so you can browse through your iPhone's data on your computer. This helps you save your notes and text messages, your downloaded content from apps / games and other application-specific files - virtually all of your personal data. So go ahead and download JuicePhone: it's FREE and just as powerful as your kitchen juicer!

Features:

  • Extract your iPhone / iPod touch / iPad backups and browse through your device's files.
  • Mirror a backup's files instead of extracting them, which saves disk space and makes handling backups more convenient.
  • Copy data from any specific application installed on your device.
  • Find out information about your backed up devices, including their phone number, software version, serial number and identifier.
  • Easy-to-use and intuitive User Interface.
  • Fully compatible with iOS 6 and OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, while retaining backwards compatibility.
  • 64-bit capable and optimized for multiple processor cores.

What's new in JuicePhone

Version 2.4.1:
  • Added support for the iPhone 5, iPad 4th generation, iPad mini and iPod touch 5th generation.
  • Added an option to sort backups by date instead of by name (enabled by default).
  • Introduced slight interface improvements.

It's kind of funny to see people wonder why this app is free ;-) We could, in theory, make JuicePhone shareware, but people would only buy it if they needed it in "emergency occasions." I can't see anybody who'd really use this on a regular basis, so it wouldn't make any sense to sell it. Plus, we've been in the iPhone/Mac community for a pretty long time and rarely made any contributions. It's only fair to give something back ;)

It's a rare and amazing thing when you have a task that requires some utility, and you quickly find something free that does it, and it actually works without any tinkering or research. JuicePhone did exactly what it said it would, with no hassle or fuss. I recovered my files from an old backup less than 40 seconds after downloading it. I'm impressed and looking for the donate button.

Assuming you have older backups: * Mac OS: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup * Windows XP: %AppData%\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup * Windows Vista: %AppData%\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup * Windows 7: %AppData%\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup Go onto iTunes, right click on your device on the left-hand side bar, and their should be an option 'Restore From Backup', or something similar, click that and it'll help you to restore iPhone from previous Backup. www.ipad-converters.org/restore-iphone-from-itunes-backup-files/

I do dig this app. It worked well for me. I did find it crashed though once but I maybe overloaded my system. Not sure. Desmond Desmarais unlockiphonetips.com

Sorry about the 'double review,' but it's been a while since it's been updated, •and• I really appreciate the developer's efforts, so here it is - a second review. Thanks for the update. It works great as usual. No problems at all. Thanks again. Would it be possible to backup totally everything? Including jailbroke stuff? Backup things in ‘root' and ‘mobile?' Just a total bit for bit copy of everything on one's iPhone? That would be very cool, if possible. Enough of me rambling on. Thanks again for the app, and for making it free. Keep up the good work!

Does it also make a backup of jailbroken applications and data?

This is great. Does exactly what is says. I tried restoring the backup to my iPhone on various occassions... simply puts the phone into a loop and you get nowhere. So the data gets lost when the only choice is to wipe the phone and start again. Now at least I've a manual backup and can reinstall data as I please without having to use that dumb iTunes. Well done and thank you for making it free.

Very nice program. I tried it with my 3G iPhone, and it worked quickly and efficiently. Thanks very much for this little app. And for free? Very nice of you. Thanks again.
