Keep track of notes, ideas, snapshots, recordings, and more.

Overview

Evernote turns the iPhone into your external brain. Evernote for iPhone lets you remember anything and everything that happens in your life. From notes to ideas to snapshots to recordings, put them all into Evernote and watch as they instantly synchronize from the iPhone to the Web to your desktop. Evernote for iPhone is part of the Evernote service, which is made up of desktop clients (Mac and Windows), a Web version, and clients for other mobile devices. Whenever you add or edit a note in one version, it is quickly made available across all others, so that you can access your notes and memories any time.

Be sure to try Evernote\'s amazing image recognition. Snap photos of anything from whiteboards to business cards to wine labels, and Evernote will make the text within those images searchable. Evernote also takes advantage of the iPhone\'s location awareness by automatically geo-tagging all your memories. Need something from last week or last year? Evernote for iPhone instantly connects to the Evernote service to help you find what you\'re looking for by searching or filtering by tag, date, location, and more.

At the desktop, this is a wonderful, feature-rich application. I really enjoy it On my iPhone, because it relies on a network connection to retrieve my notes, it really doesn't help me. During the day, I move from building to building, from car to train, from good reception to poor ... and a note-taking application has to keep up. Jott allows me to take some simple notes/reminders with me. It's not a full-fledged application in the sense that Evernote is, but it stays with me, wherever I go. Another application, Things stays with me to and lets me sync via WiFi when I come back to the desktop. At the end of the day ... as much as I would like to use Evernote, I can't. YMWV

Great app! Love it! I use MAC OSX Desktop at home, Windows laptop at work and an iPhone on the go. Evernote keeps all notes and clipping, voicenotes, etc. synched between all three and all for free for a basic account which has been adequate for me so far.

Works great for me. I've used it here in Minneapolis on 3G and Edge and it has always connected quickly. I like the voice and picture notes. Great way to remember where I parked the car.

Here in Germany, with good T-Mobile Edge connections and Wlan, this app is working very well. I have all my notes with me. Perfect!

Okay ,,, I'll give it a try. But if designating something as a 'favorite' is clumsy or limiting ... back to my previous comment ;-)
