I have been using Stock Spy since 1.50 now. It is a very nice source of info on most markets In some occasion the feed fetched is totally unrelated, but it is not a big nuisance. One big drawback is the lack of a " check for update " feature. If you want the latest version you need to ask support from the developper. Recommended

I have latest Mac Pro and OS. The app would be great if it worked properly. Often it hangs up in MAC and needs a restart. The left side prices do not update or match the right side and current prices.. The software would have been my most favorite app if indeed it updated pricing on left tabs by symbol names. I actually believe that latest update is causing more issues.

Does what it says and says what it does. I don't know about bugs in previous versions, but the current one rocks. Fabulous one-stop information source for me for shares listed all over the world.

I see there is another update, but this update does not seem to be available to people who bought via developers web site. I emailed the company and they tell me the updates only apply to the AppStore version.

Suddenly StockSpy is wiggin' out! When I open it, my homepage is displayed correctly, but when I select any of the stock symbols in the left column, ALL the chart data is upside down, as if it's mirrored! All the month names, graphics, everything! And if I select any of my personal stock symbols, the app crashes after 15 seconds. Doesn't crash if I select the Dow or Nasdaq symbols, only my personal stocks. Must be related to my recent Mavericks upgrade I'm guessing, although that's a strange bug. I deleted the app then replaced it and it's still happening. I can't contact the dev. because they use social media which I don't use. BEWARE that this app tries to connect to doubleclick.net and adserv.stocksite.com. So even though you've paid for this app, they still want to send you ads! MAKE SURE YOU BLOCK THEM WITH LITTLE SNITCH OR HANDS OFF!

I noted that MacUpdate desktop shows that the current version is 2.4, but when I emailed the company this morning to check, they said that 1.9 was the current version.

Initially I was not impressed, but the software has grown on me. I like the ease of adding new stocks, how it offers a basket of other info sites and keeps up to date on news, even filtering my list based on best performing, with timely price updates. Especially like the custom link addition of websites. Would be great if it had a notes section to record data, or track your portfolio priceXquantity= But other apps can do that, StockSpy does a lot for web based and news research. I especially like seeing the bubble news appear

Could developer tell me why I see another item in your website that charges further if one wants something more after buying this app.? This app. is not a full version? Any one that wants to use full functions must pay for another charge?! I didn't see the information in the introduction page! Could developer explain to us what is the difference between the two?

The company ignores inquiries about the features and the included stock markets. They even went so far to delete a question of mine from their Facebook wall without comment. The demo version from their homepage looks completely different than the screenshots. There are only negative comments about the app in the AppStore.

I have been using this for about a week and I have to say I really like the way all the big financial pages on the internet are brought into one app with the integrated browser. I typically use the portfolio I have setup in Google Finance, but I like this better for news and prices. The charts could use some more options besides just daily, weekly, or monthly and it would be nice to pick a different chart or even create custom charts for each ticker symbol. Still I like what it does and the price is good.
