OpenThesaurus Deutsch overview
The OpenThesaurus Deutsch extends Apple's Dictionary application (Dictionary.app) with a German thesaurus.
- You can search for every synonym not just the primary word.
- You can search for parts of a hyphen delimited term or a word which is not located at the beginning of a term (as Dictionary normally does).
- This is a offline dictionary, so you don't need an Internet connection.
The dictionary content is based on the online dictionary by Daniel Naber.

- Database from 27/12/2023 with 167367 entries.
- Font selection has been reduced, as the dictionary app only supportes system fonts.
- Improved automatic activation of the plug-in after installation. Sometimes already activated plug-ins were deactivated.

I strongly dislike the idea that I must enter my user password to install this. Other Dictionary plugins simply have to be moved into the Library>Dictionaries folder so there is no possibility of unlocking my computer for malware .

If I doubleklick the File OpenThesaurus Deutsch.dictionary the Programm Automator opens. lol no joke!
