Screenium for Mac3.3.1

Not a review but an important comment. The upcomming new macOS 10.14 Mojave version has screenrecording build in as default. Just press Shift+Cmd+5 It captures in 60fps, has editing features and other nice things. It does not have video-in-video possibilities, but many people do not need this. This is one of the great new feature of macOS10.14 which I really like. This makes a lot of screen recording tools obsolete.

I d/l'ed Screenium to grab a few short screen captures to document my new MBP's trackpad glitch, not for its real purpose. That said, Screenium appears to have pretty good functionality, but in demo mode it took sooo long to overwrite my recordings with its watermarks, pretty close to the actual time of the captures, that I trashed it in favor in favor of an app with more realistic approach to "demo."

Try as i may, I cannot get Screenium to capture audio from Safari (10.7.4). Followed every step regarding SoundFlower and companion app, SFBed to no avail. Will wait for 10.8 and do a clean install before emailing.

This works great. All the features well organized. Going to get a license now!

Longtime user of Screenium, this is just a head up: version 2 is a paid upgrade for those who bought v 1.x before Jan 1, 2011. From the Screenium FAQ: I already bought Screenium 1. Is there a discounted upgrade for owners of the prior version? Screenium 2 is automatically provided as a free update for all customers who bought Screenium 1 after January 1, 2011. For customers who bought Screenium 1 before January 1, 2011, a discounted upgrade license is availabel in our online shop for the price of 14.99 $.

I just revisited my Screenium software after a few months break. It kept crashing. I checked out my receipt and it said to get in touch if there was ever a problem. So I e-mailed them. Within 10 minutes I had a reply from Moritz Schwering. His suggestion worked perfectly, so now I'm back up and running with an extremely powerful screen capturing application. Many thanks.

I did download the screenium, but recording without sudio ? I did re-download and servial times, still doesn't work, no sound ? any wrong setting I made ? Thx.

Terribly disappointing. I have a 2009 MacBook Pro 8GB RAM (just upgraded cause thought the issue with this app was that I previously had 4GB RAM . . . made no difference. If you record over 15 minutes of video you TOTALLY loose the audio. :-( Really had high hopes for this app. Back to my search for stable alternative.

Great app - work with 3 Mac OS X versions: Tiger (very important for me), Leopard, Snow Leopard.

Capture quality is great. However, I am still having lots of Spinning Beach Balls and application quitting when trying to select Audio source. When I once got it working, the audio quality matched the excellent results of the video. But that was only once out of the 12 or 13 attempts I have made to select a different audio input

Fantastic app. I tried every app I could find to seemlessly and flawlessly record full screen from my second monitor, with sound, to an external drive. Screenium handles the job with aplomb. One of the best value tools in my arsenal. It just gets better and better. First rate.

An absolutely great app, thoroughly impressed with it. Very easy to use with some very good features. It records up to 60fps with EXTREMELY high quality. You can record a window, the screen, follow the mouse or a portion of the screen. You can record with your webcam at the same time, and use the microphone. You can use hotkeys to bring up your pre-typed words on the screen. Timers too, and change the hotkeys. There's lots of ways to export it too. All in all, the best screen recorder I've used. I've heard ScreenFlow is good though, but I doubt it's as good as this!

I have this program and it's phenomenal, it's a great program. Its recording is clear, and its options are very specific. I tried iShowU and it's too complex for someone like me, who wants to make a simple recording. Screenium is worth it.

Just tried it on my G5 DP 4 GB RAM with a 30" monitor and it crashed. Every screen capture/movie app has crashed for me. I'm sure that its due to the size of the monitor. I'll write a review one day when I find an app that doesn't crash. Cheers!

tried it and it works very well. It's faster than most and you can't beat the price. The video is top notch and the audio works flawlessly. I tried it on a Photoshop tutorial and even running some of my most processor intensive actions didn't slow PS down or cause choppy results in the quick time movie. A great app and thanks to the developer for a good price.

This app delivers what it promises, with a very clean, full-featured interface. Lots of options. Me like. Me pay -- good deal.

I have tried it, as well as snapzpro wait for the new Ishowu HD, will be wort the wait believe, thats all I can say. How do I know? Can you say Beta? (wink)

$20 for a 1.4 mb file? It only allows 30 secs on the demo. Don't say this is better because of hotkeys, fullscreen, mouse pointer, effects, etc. but there are some apps that are free that are even better.

20 Dollars for a 1.4 MB File. Amazingly over priced.

Even for a beta version I´m quite impressed. Creating videos is as easy as taking screenshots. I will purchase Screenium at the time a final version is released. I have tried some other apps like that on Mac and Win, but screeniums seems to be the most promising. Keep up the good work

While a screen capture utility with good video/movie capture ability at $20 would be great(the only other screen capture app that does that{as far as I know} is Snapz Pro X, which works quite well but is $69), Screenium is still in beta and it's video capture is aggravatingly buggy. Why the developer requires one to purchase a full license before trying all Screenium's features(it's preferences are unavailable and there's no help function), is beyond me. Screenium, still in beta, needs more work. The standard still image capture seems to work fine, but it's the video/movie capture....the only feature which would get me to pay the $20 for Screenium that has problems. And I'm just NOT gonna pay for a beta version with all its video/movie capture bugs. Once the developer irons out the bugs, I'll most likely buy it.
