A flexible clipboard manager.

Overview

It provides a class-leading total of four different ways to paste clippings from the history. Users can organize their clippings into projects. iClipboard features an elegant interface that shows rich previews of each clipping.

Unbelievable! Chronos- how could you?? Version 1.1 never worked correctly. It was bug ridden. For instance, 1.1 promised plain text paste but it never did work. Now you say this is a "new" feature in 2.0 and you charge for it. Chronos is an unethical developer that charges upgrade fees for bug fixes! Just go and check out the reviews of SOHO Notes and SOHO Organizer.

I'd had this on my Mac for quite a few years. It worked well. It saved me time. Then I got a"New Version Available" notification. Yippee! Unfortunately, when the "30 day free trial" ended I discovered the problem no one told me about, Chronos was no longer supporting the app, but there was no way to buy a license for the newer version. So now I can't use the app, can't upgrade it either. What a clusterf**k. Fortunately, I was able to use an uninstaller app, and they do have the old versions available on the Support page. Also, I have an app where the License Key for the old version is kept. So at the end of the day, - good app, lousy support.

I've tried many a Clipboard manager,, and the combination of Library, custom naming and sets for history and other features really sold this one for me! Now the latest news is it doesn't work in Mojave, 10.14.2 (my version). So I decided to trust my instincts/voices that told me to dig back in the archives and try a 'legacy' version. So I did ...and IT Works! Now using verxion 3.0.6 [Which can be downloaded from the chronosnet website.] Woo-Hoo, back in biz.

As iClipboard appears to be dead, I like to point a few things out about iClip (which is my product): • iClip can import your clips from iClipboard. See http://iclipapp.com/help/iclipboard.html • iClip is nearly identical in features to iClipboard. • iClip is more configurable (hot keys, hot clicks for almost every operation). • iClip will be updated for 64 bit (see beta page where it'll become available first for testing). • Contact me (support@iclipapp.com) to get 50% off if you have a iClipboard license.

Hello Thomas - I was a long time iCLipBoard user. You will likely find my review and subsequent dissapointment in iClipBoard when they went for v5 to 6 but did so little. Simply a bug fix, IMO. Now it is dead. Anyway - I have been using your iClip for 6 weeks and while i like it I find it missing some items, I have one possible bug and have read where you may remove some necessary features to move it to 64-bit. I'll contact your support about this the possible bug. Other potential switchers should look at iClip's MU info to lear of its possible 64-bit future. I don't know if Thomas will build on it after it gets reduced to save his workload..

I have been using iClipboard for years but after the Mojave update it would no longer launch. I thought that perhaps I needed a to update iClipboard as well so I paid again for a download. It does not launch either and after two attempts with support and no response I'm moving on to something else. Beware.

I have never, ever received a response to a support request from this company. I like iClipboard, but their service is terrible--and most of the products not updated or up to par.

Rather than rate the company, as everyone below is doing, I'll rate the actual product: I personally find it best-in-class for this kind of software, and I have used pretty much all of them. iClip is fairly close, but it irritates me by not responding to double-click on a copied item to paste it; you have to click on a tiny little arrow icon instead. With iClipboard you just double-click it. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is that the app is fairly unstable. I sometimes have it crash multiple times per day (though sometimes it also runs all week without dying). However, I haven't found iClipboard, PTHPasteboard, ClipBuddy, etc., to be any more stable. I'm sorry that there's some kind of problem right now in getting the 6.0 version (a quick search shows it on at least one BT site, if you're willing to go that route), but I already downloaded it, and it works very well for me. I tend to agree with complaints below that, as just a bug-fix release, it should have been free (and been 5.something, not 6.0, since it added no new features). Same goes for it suddenly not being available from the author's site, after people have paid for it (we often need to re-download and re-install things). But that's nothing to do with how good this is as a piece of software, and it's darned good. I had a utility like this way back in the day under MacOS 9, and really missed it when making the jump to OS X, and had missed it every single day until I started using iClipboard, back around version 3 or whenever it was that I first found it.

You can make iClip paste with a double-click on a bin by editing the "hot clicks" settings in iClip's preferences. Go to Preferences -> Hot Clicks, click the disclosure arrow next to the list of functions to reveal all functions, select "paste to current application" in the list, click the "Edit Hot Click" button at the bottom, and then follow the instructions. Also check out the "hot keys" section of preferences for enabling keyboard-shortcut controls. e.g. try cmd-' (command-apostrophe) for "Paste from bin...". Enjoy!

So Chronos lists iClipboard as no longer supported on their website here: https://www.chronosnet.com/downloads/old At the top of this page is this disclaimer: "Chronos does NOT sell licenses to older versions of our products because they are no longer being actively developed (no more bug fixes, improvements, etc.). We make these older versions available for current owners who need to reinstall due to hard disk crashes, accidental deletes, etc."

Does iClipboard still exist? It's no longer on the Chronos website (except for older versions) and links from this MU page result in a 404 "Page not found" error page.

Wow - you are right. Sucks. I never got any reply to my bug support request for 5.0.0. No update to 5.0.0.

Then 6.0 was a paid upgrade with no real enhancements (but the bugs got fixed) and now they got my money and are gone. Horrible developers.

I'm still using v6.0.0 on Sierra 10.12.6. It's working fine, except the menubar icon doesn't show up anymore. I don't have too many icons in the menubar, so this is definitely a compatibility issue. – Yes, I couldn't find v6.0.0 on their website now, only v5. Strange.

When iClipboard is working well, it's a great product. Just be aware that when there is a problem, there is also;utely no help available from Chronos. They do not reply to support questions. They say the are going to, but never do. Extremely poor customer support. There is no phone number to call. There is no other way to get help.

Same experience for me: never got replies to 2 support requests from Nov-2015 and now iClipboard appears to be either discontinued or perhaps sold to some other developer.
