Deployment and maintenance of customized relational database solutions.

Overview

Helix RADE (Rapid Application Development Environment) enables the creation, deployment and maintenance of customized relational database solutions for solving information management problems. Featuring a proprietary graphical development environment that does not require traditional programming skills, Helix RADE (the development tool) gives the designer the ability to develop applications that can range from simple single-user databases to complex workgroup solutions. Applications developed with Helix RADE can be executed in a single-user mode without any additional software and can be deployed in client/server mode without modification. Helix RADE contains the complete development and end-user environment, making the initial cost for production very low. Should the business or application requirement grow, the application can be deployed as a client/server solution by purchasing a Helix Server license.

New licenses for Helix RADE are available for $499, with additional seats available for $249 per seat. View the Helix price list for additional information.

Ease of use and able to change, add, delete fields easily are primary for me. Helix Rade has these qualities and many more. I am not a programmer, only an end user and have developed a complex multi-relational data base. Excellent stability means outstanding data security. Have looked at other databases from time to time, but none have offered the right combination of features or ease of use as Helix Rade has. A sophisticated multi-relational database that can be designed, built, and operated by end users, how unique is that?

The original full powered relational database for the Mac, and the original Object Oriented Programing interface, is still the best. Introduced in 1985, for the Mac, was the first with a drag 'n drop Relational database design interface. Almost 30 years later, it is still the easiest interface for building powerful Relational Databases from the ground up. I bought this in 1987 after futzing with Borland and FileMaker. I should have saved myself the trouble and money and purchased Helix first. They've done a wonderful job of not just preserving a venerable Original Macintosh program, but of improving it and keeping it up to date with modern hardware. If you are not a programmer, not a database designer, scratch your head at FileMaker Pro, yet still want to build a powerful and custom relational database of your own, Helix RADE is it. Kudos

Nice to see progress. Can this now run on modern Macs? (Intel Cores).

Classic is being phased out. It also runs on Intel and will transition to OS X this year (it's been slow because there's a vast amount of work required).

Classic?! How can we run Classic? There's no Classic on current Macs. So one has to go out and find an old Power PC Mac and then an old version of OSX or even older OS9. Wow. So I guess it's not 64 bit then. ;-) Ah, maybe this is an April Fools.
