TwistedWave is a very easy to use and powerful audio editor.
It supports Audio Unit plug-ins and many file formats, including WAV, AIFF, CAF, MP3, MP4, FLAC, Ogg/Vorbis, and Ambisonic sound files.
Good multichannel support. TwistedWave lets you easily add, remove or reorder channels. You can also apply Audio Units to multichannel files, or to a selection of channels.
Unlimited undo and redo which works instantly.
Zooming in and out of the waveform is very fast. Option-click and drag the mouse to zoom very accurately, while the waveform is being refreshed more than 100 times per second, even when the files are several hours long, or when the file has not finished loading, or when an effect is being applied.
When TwistedWave is busy loading a large file, or applying a complex effect, all the work happens in the background, and you can continue working with your document, applying new effects. With TwistedWave, you never have to wait for the end of a long computation.
Working at a resolution up to 24-bit and 192 kHz sampling rate, TwistedWave enables you to work at a professional quality.

This is amazing software. Forget the visual appeal, app icon, and plain interface. This is first-rate, powerful software. The power and precision of the tools to detect silence, automatically add markers, edit with amazing precision, and adjust equalization, volume, etc. make its a MUST HAVE in any audio pro's toolbox.
TwistedWave is worth every dollar of its fair price. The demo preview convinced me in minutes, and yes I paid full price. This developer has put his life into creating great tools for us. Without our support and dollars, he cannot continue to provide us great tools. This toolset is every bit as precise and quality as ProTools, Logic, or Audition. And the Users Guide is clear, consise and useful.

Just got this from stacksocial for $20, but even for $79.90 it's still worth every dollar!
It's fast, stable and offers everything one needs in a simple audio editor (actually it's quite advanced). Don't forget to check and read the excellent manual: TwistedWave offers a lot of very clever shortcuts to do fast edits. I'm moving to TW from Amadeus (which is also great), for me it's faster and more stable and I like the concept very much!
A great App. I never had any problems with im- and export of .cue files or any other mentioned problems with burning or converting using .cue files. Again: a fantastic app with lots of features. Also never needed support as it just works.
I just tried the demo and could not find a way of creating regions for burning a CD.
Does the paid version allow this? Without this ability, it is useless for me.
Really happy to see development still going on. I have been thinking of making a purchase lately as it seems to be a fantastic tool that surpasses some of the other options.
The fact that the last update to TwistedWave was almost 2 years ago makes me hesitant to purchase a license. Has development of TwistedWave been abandoned? If so then $79.90 seems a very high price.
Fast, powerful, stable and, um... fast. Just got this in a bundle at a good price, and loving it so far. Finally, a good audio editor that doesn't crash as often as many others out there.
Just checked this out. That interface is horrible - RIght out of 10.0! Seems like a lot of dough for this. Agree it's worth about $50.00 but no more.... Nice that there is another option available though.
The developer is very responsive to questions and requests.
So far, this would be the only sound editor (I'm not saying DAW) that supports both multichannel plug-ins and multichannel monitoring. Try this with the usual suspects...
Although at version 1.1, this app is very promising. For me needs (which are very "niche" I'll admit), it's bye bye to all the other sound editor and hello to TwistedWave.
$49 for what you offer, in a market featuring such biggies as Amadeus and Fission...
Take a hint - your pricepoint is wacked, and will be the death of your cashflow. IMHG.
How would you rate TwistedWave app?
