Once again MacUpdate is way off. This version (3.8.1) came out in August 2014, not October 2016. What is the point of this web site any more...

App works great with iTunes since I got it. Unfortunately, it no longer functions with Apple Music app on Mac OS Catalina (and future versions of Mac OS, I'd suppose). Would be nice if it got an update to make it work with Apple Music.

I love this app, but it has not been updated in quite some time, and auto-updates/check for updates doesn’t work. You have to check to see if your version is the current one on the website. At any rate, I really hope it is updated to 64 bit or it will no longer work on Macs come this Summer (for macOS Catalina Beta users), or this September when macOS Catalina is officially released. Thanks developers!!

This so far is the only such app I have found that does what it states it will do without capturing data, requiring login to some site, of making the lyrics nearly impossible to copy and paste from a website. It is simple, clean and just works without a lot of overhead or ads. I am successfully using it in 10.13.6 on a MacPro Desktop 5.1. I can only hope it still works in 10.14 when released.

It downloads quickly. Unfortunately, it downloads a fair number of like-sounding words, in place of the correct ones. I'm guessing speech recognition might be a factor. Public Enemy has become unintentionally hilarious...

Works on my laptop, but not on my desktop, where I have my home folder on an external drive. Got a lot of errors about kernel.txt improperly installed. Don't see a developer link to report this.

Looks promising, but unfortunately it does not work. It starts and recognizes current or selected song, but nothing happens on click ( Yosemite 10.10.5 / iTunes 12.2.2.25 )

I was surprised that it actually did what was expected. Just select the tracks you want the lyrics to in iTunes and press the button and just wait. Now it won't always be 100% accurate, but it's pretty good. It uses the internet to find the lyrics to each song. Phew this saved me a lot of time.

It is one of the fastest and works but it hesitates quite a bit and is showing it's age. Compare to Singer Song Reader which allows the choice of lyric search sites (up to 15) which can be toggled on or off and prioritized.

Excellent program. Must use a massive database unlike any other I have tried as it found all but a handful of very obscure tracks (it even found a couple with german lyrics). If it can't find your song, make sure the title spelling is correct and you haven't switched your artists to last name first (which I did). It is great to actually have the lyrics in iTunes instead of having to switch to another app to view them. It's also great to have a program that does exactly what it says - automatically adds lyrics to iTunes. The lyrics as well are pleasant to view. No extraneous symbols or strange formatting, just a source tag at the end. Thanks for a great app!

Nice app. Does what it promises. The downside is that the app seems to freeze when it can't find any lyrics. At least I had to "Force Quit" it after a minute after using it for two minutes.

I was using Massive Lyrics until now but it seems to have stopped working with some recent iTunes update, so I switched to Get Lyrical and it works great! Thanks to the dev for making it free. I’m sure we’ll all be even more grateful when s/he fixes it if some future iTunes update nukes it, as happened to ML.

Does what it says. I use TuneUp to clean up the other track data, but it won't add lyrics to the meta data, Get Lyrical does.

You can't beat this for FREE. Worked nearly flawlessly on my Mountian Lion OS X 10.8.1 and current iTunes 10.6.3. About 1350 of my 2100 songs synced all accurate details (so far) - I'm sure once I clean up the 750 songs with inaccurate information it will sync those too. A+

So many lyrics-fetching apps out there, but rather than try them all, I heard some good buzz about Get Lyrical. Downloaded it, tried it out, and voila, lyrics added! Simple, easy to use, and accurate so far. Great job on this! Also love the shortcut keys. My next pay check, part of it is donating to this software.

The only lyric-finding program for iTunes that works. The others are hamstrung by copyright isses. It's slow and the interface is buggy (the progress bar display can't be minimised, and often refuses to be be hidden) and unresponsive. But it works effectively, doesn't use many CPU cycles or much RAM. And of course it's free. Highly recommended, but I'd advise using it on large batches of tracks and letting it run in the background rather than keeping it running alongside itunes all the time. If only the developer would come back to it to sort out the interface...

The challenges with lyrics has already caused one gifted developer to withdraw from the field; but GetLyrical comes closest of current applications allow the user to find lyrics for tunes and load them in your player. Maybe 100% success - but GetLyrical finds lyrics (if they're available) and does a sound job of inserting them in iTunes. Maybe not speedy, but accurate - and recommended!

Works pretty good. It would be great if the developer would add an option do disable the now automatically added tag at the end of the lyrics which contains the link to wikia. I don't need+want that.

This really is a great little app. I just started using this at version 3.7, so I can't speak for previous versions, but this version has been incredibly stable and has found a great deal of lyrics for me. Also, Get Lyrical syncs up perfectly with iTunes, no copy and paste required here. You just select songs in itunes that you want to add lyrics too, and click "tag selection." It really doesn't get much easier than this.

Great little tool, but still needs stabilization. Active tagging ends up stalling if no lyrics can be found, and the program insists on reverting to showing me lyrics for the selected song rather than what's actually playing. It just doesn't switch nicely between view current, view selection, active tagging, and edit text. Also, if no song (or a radio station) is playing, a never-ending array of error dialogues pop up when in active tagging mode. Very frustrating. All I need is a program that fetches and displays the lyrics of whatever song i'm listening to, and perhaps occasionally find lyrics for a batch of songs. That's all. Get Lyrical seems able to do that much of the time, but there are just too many niggles that keep cropping up.

It works, but it's a mess--it fills the lyrics field with multiple "Notice: Uninitialized string offset: 4 in /Applications/Get Lyrical.app/Contents/Resources/go.php on line 182" lines and variations, with the actual lyrics at the bottom of the field.

I just ran it on the album, "Octopus" by The Bees. It found three of ten songs, and two of the lyrics it copied were from hardcore gangsta rap songs, and all three lyrics were wrong. If I might suggest a feature - please give users the option of selecting from a list of potential matches rather than letting the app stop at the first one it comes to.

I've just tested it on a 10-song LP. It can only find 4 of them even though all 10 are easily available on the site (lyricwiki.org). But at least those 4 weren't Billy Jean. This will be a useful app once it works.
