Keeps crashing Sys Prefs on 10.6.8. Had to uninstall. Shame. Worked a treat otherwise.

Now updated to 3.2.1 and works with Mojave. An excellent time saving app. Thanks to the dev for keeping this up-to-date.

Well it did for me, with the exception of Pages - I'm now running it with Yosemite…

I’m surprised it still works in El Capitan. And works fine in Pages.

Running OS X 10.6.8. I can't date its onset (Safari 5, perhaps), but for quite a while I had a recurring issue in which AutoPairs simply stopped working and I had to restart to regain its functionality. After much frustration I realized that quitting Safari was the key to overcoming the issue. Anybody else experiencing the same symptoms?

I have been using this program for years. Never had a serious issue. Highly recommended. Great app.

Same here, but it worked just fine for a week or two before that began happening. I dunno... v 3.0 worked just fine for a few years and all of a sudden just stopped working, and v 3.1 is worse. Booo!

Seems like a nice free app. However, it would be nice to be able to disable/enable the app as you please instead of autopairs always running or resorting to uninstalling...

I agree, while I've some issue with some windows application running in VMware fusion, and can't disable AutoPairs for the application itself. Disabling AutoPairs for VMware Fusion application hasn't any impact, because virtual machines runs under vmware-vmx process, that's an independent executable process located in "/Applications/VMwareFusion.app/Contents/Library/" and can't be added to personalized Applications in AutoPairs. Now I'm looking for some workaround, but can't find any... last hope is someone has it and will tell it.

P.S.: For my problem I found I can add ".../VM-file/Applications/Windows-app-to-personalize" to AutoPairs personalized applications, and it works!
But I'd like to see a fast enable/disable option anyway.

I haven't got a clue about why or what to do about it, but AutoPairs X has all of a sudden begun quitting for absolutely no discernible reason (OS X 10.6.8), and I've got to either log out/in or restart to get it working again. I'm posting here because the developer has not seen fit to provide an e-mail address for feedback, etc.

Edit: I don't mean "quits" literally; it's running, but it doesn't work.

it seems to work nice when using english as an input language. but if you switch to a language, which has additional letters assigned to keys {} [] etc, this program makes unwanted letters when typing. so maybe the utility should consider switching and use another keys for making correct pairs in other languages
