Powerful interior design app (was Live Interior 3D).

Overview

Live Home 3D is multi-platform home design software that helps anyone create detailed floor plans and 3D renderings. You will be amazed how easily, quickly and precisely you can layout and furnish a room or an entire house on macOS and iOS.

Draw CAD-like 2D plans, then surf 3D environment to get the look and feel of the interior. Automatically add one of seven supplied roof styles using the Roof Assistant. Place and arrange furniture, appliances and other objects in both 2D and 3D modes. Shoot interior movies, make screenshots and export to 360° Panorama and Share to Facebook. In addition to that, the program allows you to export the whole interior project (an apartment or multi-story building) or selected objects to SketchUp format. Easily share your projects with others via Trimble 3D Warehouse. And now the program lets you create stereo 3D video, 360° video and stereo 3D 360° video to view or share on Facebook, Vimeo, or YouTube.

I use the program since April, 2008. No any complains, excellent product. I am thinking of upgrading to pro edition now, mostly because of advanced light and material editor features. They sell an upgrade for the price difference between standard and pro versions. Hope long time user may get a discount ;)

Had this product quite a while ago. It may have been the Pro version. Found the updates to costly so switched to open source Sweet Home 3D which is free other than a optional donation and haven't looked back. I find it interesting that the opposite version of Live Interior (Pro or Std) have the most votes for similar software. That wouldn't suggest that employees, friends or relatives of the employees are padding the votes to entice readers to purchase their products, would it? Just observing -:).

Upgraded from Standard to Pro today. I should definitely check, maybe I have relatives there :) Btw, nice program and guys from BeLight offered an upgrade at the discounted price. I just do not understand, you bought Pro version for about 100$ and decided to opt for free Sweet Home just because an upgrade to the version you ALREADY have was too expensive? Where is the logic?

Such a shame. This is on the face of it a really good piece of software. It's pretty easy to use and has a powerful feature set. Unfortunately it suffers from one major problem. There is no way to adjust the angle of view (like a wide angle lens). Since at the moment the software shows a view that is much narrower than you'd perceive it means that in many normal sized rooms you are effectively looking at the back wall. Comments on their forum indicate that is not something they are looking to change anytime soon. I'm guessing that for some reason their algorithm is fixed to this angle.

We now include all the content inside the app, materials and 3D objects. Now users don't need to download additional content separately to increase 3D objects library. Also, this provided us with the ability to implement simple installation process, drag & drop app icon into Applications folder.

So just deleting the v2.5 app still leaves behind all its previously installed extras?

You can delete Content.bundle from: (your HD)/Library/Application Support/BeLight Software/Live Interior 3D/ folder.

are the Live Interior 3D Standard Extras now included with the app and no longer needed to be installed separately? i’m having trouble finding them on BeLight’s website. i think they are included because this is one huge download and now it’s drag-and-drop also. if the app now comes in one huge drag-and-drop application, i hope no remnants from the prior Installers remain on the hard drive — to maybe cause conflicts — doubles — within the application itself. i just amateur around with this app to see how different furniture arrangings will look, but it looks like the Live Interior 3D Standard Edition has many more capabilities than when i last used it and looks and feels more “pro” now. maybe i just didn’t notice some of the things i am seeing now or maybe this is just a really nice update, who knows. Live Interior 3D Standard is fun to play around with, intuitive — not that hard to use for the results it gets. if this is what the “limited” version does i can only imagine what the pro version does. anyway, nice job BeLight.

WHY are you installing into the System folder? Surely this program doesn't require a .kext file? Other than that I can't imagine why a design app should have to write anything to /System/. The root Library is the place for this kind of thing.

Just upgraded to v2.4 and the speed of "twirling around" 3D objects has been greatly increased. Fantastic!! If all the other bits have improved as much, version 2.4 is a must have!

This piece of software is amazing. It does a great job on showing what you design in 3D. For that I love it, but don't try to show it to anyone. Changing floors in 3D and moving around is absolutely hopeless. The displays changes perspective more times than I have changed my socks. I spent this morning re-designing my house. I said "Here let me show it to you" and I never could get the 3D view to behave. It jumps around; spins around some invisible center point and I can now see what this will only be an toy. And all I wanted to do was get something to show to an architect. Forget that. Frustrating is the word. I had to force quit because I was getting bored looking at the "animations". So if you want to muck about with your ideas, this is great. If you want to do anything complicated, go by a high-end Mac because maybe then you can control it. I think this is the last time I shall turn it on although I have a licence. Pity, and this is on Snow Leopard.

Wow. Amazing software and well priced as well. I'm working on renovating our bathroom and this came along just in time - the instant Google Sketchup object download support is a huge time saver. Great work.
