SiteCrawler free download for Mac

SiteCrawler

1.1.3

Capture entire sites for offline viewing.

Overview

SiteCrawler is a website downloading application that lets you capture entire sites or selected portions, like image galleries. It features powerful settings that no other application offers.

You don't have to be an expert to use SiteCrawler. While the advanced features are easily accessible, they don't bog down the basic settings, so you can stay focused on the task at hand. To start crawling a site, enter a Web address and choose a destination folder on your disk. Further options help you fine-tune the behavior, such as which parts of the site to access.

While SiteCrawler crawls a site, you can pause it to change the settings. When you resume, the new settings are picked up immediately. So if you see files being downloaded that you don't really want, there's no need to stop the session.

You can save sessions for later, even in the midst of downloading. You can then re-open the session later, and pick up right where you left off!

Works good. I just used it for Downloading a Website, that I need for a projekt. Could not find an option to select something like: "Only this html-document, but also all used images and css- and js-files." Please let me know, if I missed something. All in all it works good :-)

I paid for it and it seemed fast and works but only down loads small jpgs and jpg.html s. I don't understand why people don't like large size ;pictures. And it cost nothing to have a pc change html to jpg but it costs and a leg for a Mac to change htmls to jpgs, I don't understand, What is so great about tiny image files. It does start back where it left off. it seemed to stop and I couldn't get it going again. So forced quit and it started again from scratch.

Yeah, abandonware. I had tested it, thought it worked but wasn't paying close enough attention to what exactly it was downloading, bought it and am stuck. Isn't compatible with recent versions of safari (6+), so claims that it can use sessions from Safari and has Safari integration are false.

Don't buy this. I did and never received a license key. I think they're out of business.

So far, so good. BlueCrab used to be my favorite site downloader, but it's overly complicated and lately it hasn't worked very well for me. Also, I hate that you can't download again without closing your window and opening a new one. SiteSucker works, but it's too simplistic and looks ugly. SiteCrawler is simple to use, has a clean interface and just works.

Works incredibly well. I'd say it's even better than SiteSucker!! (Though a 3 for the value, because I think it's a little expensive.)
