It should be noted that while free, you are required to sign up for an account on the Shared Plan website, validate that account with a legitimate e-mail address, and then activate the software with that account information before you can use SharedPlan.

Yes, that's correct. We note that in the description above - unfortunately it's past the point where the "More..." has to be clicked to see it.

Just to clear up any confusion created by the incorrect comments below.

SharedPlan OpenPlanning is completely free.

We do offer other products with limited time trials and purchase fees but, again, OpenPlanning is completely free with no time limit.

Contrary to what is stated here on MacUpate (and also in the authors' text!) this software is not free.

What is offered on the site is a link to a seven-day trial version.

And the software documentation is not available directly either (maybe in the download?)
This last point is a show-stopper for me.

The doc is indeed available on our web page and as part of the download image (Help->User Guide (pdf)).
