Well, iTerm looks functional, and kudos for maintaining a free app...
...but the reverse video display (Black background) is really stinks and annoying to me, this looks from another age...
I DON'T want anything looking like a DOS window (yuck!)
I understand some people are attached to this old look, but users should have choice.
I preferred to pay for Ionsole since it had color profiles and went for that instead.
I am not issuing a rating, this is just a comment
Really annoying bug with this and JiTouch.
When using TipTap to toggle through tabs in a web browser, every so often it'll open TotalTerminal instead of the next tab when you don't want it to. No way I can see of stopping it besides quitting Terminal when switching tabs in a browser. The issue really needs to be fixed.
(If JiTouch offered the flexibility of being disabled from certain apps, like BTT for example, then that would be a solution, but it does not, and BTT's TipTap isn't as good as JiTouch's.)
Downloaded this having had the old Visor and thought .o0(I wonder if it's been updated to make Pin triggerable with a keystroke/gesture), initially pleased to see it in the preferences, but then tried it, didn't work and now "Pin", in the new supposedly improved version, isn't even selectable in the menulet at all meaning "Pin" has actually got worse in that it is unusable so, sigh, had better try to go back to the old version...
Works perfectly on SL. Visor is back!! No more having to use 32bit terminal... thank you to everyone who contributes on old blacktree products like this one... if it wasn't for benevolent people we would be screwed. Thank you. And it works great on SL folks 64bit confirmed. Grabbed it last night.
This is a cool piece of software I find myself using a lot. So much, that I tracked down a hack to not have Terminal running in the background. http://log-everything.blogspot.com/2006/06/visor-dirrrrty-hack.html has step-by-step instructions for creating a hacked terminal that doesn't show in the dock.
In the features department, it would be nice to have Window Settings preferences available in Visor, rather than the kludge of doing it in Terminal, but in all, it works very well.
Kinf of nice, but you need to make it so that this app can open *without* having a normal Terminal window being opened at the same time, *and*, without needing to have the Terminal, in order to invoke the Visor thing.
Otherwise it's a nice idea. Good luck improving it further. Thanks.
Totally useless... I just don't understand the goal...
A "systemwide" way to send bash commands WITHOUT having Terminal.app running would be GREATLY appreciated. But since Terminal.app MUST be running for Visor to work, why shouldn't we just have to click on its dock icon?
Did I miss something?
