JanusNode is a user-configurable dynamic textual projective surface- that is, a generator of random texts. JanusNodes contain tools for creating new texts, using a simple rule-based text-generation language, and for morphing old texts, using Markov chains or more random methods.
What's new in JanusNode
Version 2.12:
This version removes the need for compilation during loose Markov chaining). NOTE: JanusNode does not seem to run directly off the disk image. Drag the JanusNode folder from the disk image to your own disk to run it.

This is a fun program with a wide range of choices such as Haiku, Fortunes, Bureaucratese, Insults (my favorite), Blessings (which sound disturbingly similar to insults, TVGuide, Definitions, ArtSpeak (very similar to the BS I heard and read in college-level art classes), and more. Amazing little program, prettier than McPoet, and now, of course, OSX-capable. Easy to use, but with a 70-page manual if you really wanna delve deeply into it.
And if you pick the very best things it generates, you can get some good stuff. Two of my favorite definitions generated by JanusNode:
spiritual rhythm: perceptible eccentricity
wind: eagle's egocentric euphoria
This is the best (and almost only) tool for playing with text the way pixel-benders and glitch musicians play with their media. If you want to create Dada poetry, space your poetry like E.E. Cummings, or put all those lame Lorem Ipsum copy-pasters to shame, this is the program to do that.
And it's NOT DEAD. http://www.janusnode.com/
