Asramsoftwares are made by a Christian Monastery located near Kulna in Bangladesh. Buying one of their product is like making a donation.. Don't be harsh or rude, to them. Please...
Comments here seem to be overly harsh considering that this is one of the few calculators on OS X that actually displays a useable paper tape with numbers stacked like a traditional adding machine. The built-in calculator in OS X does not display numbers aligned by decimal point, making checking values quite difficult. Does anyone here know of another OS X calculator app that displays a paper tape like an adding machine? How is everybody adding things like a bunch of receipts? The only free/donationware program I know of on OS X that has a useable paper tape function is KoalaCalc... and that may be going away as the developers website is unavailable. Two other calculator apps with proper tape displays are TopCalculette ($25) and TapeCalc ($10). This app is far less money if you need that function, unless you can still find KoalaCalc. But yes... this app sure could use a facelift. If only Apple would fix its odd paper tape display so that the values are aligned on a decimal point instead of listed left to right in a sentence.
You gotta be kidding me, right?
12 bucks for this THING??
There's Paolo Grifantini's Currency Converter widget (for FREE, of course), and there's the Mac OS X calculator (I didn't say Mac OS 9 calculator btw...)
This app is an absolute joke to mankind, and has to be wiped out of this planet NOW!
I'm beginning to enjoy Asram's posts. Shareware already available for free with OSX (calculator, mp3 player etc), icons designed with breathtaking quality, developed exclusively for PPC.. and he never gives up.. Helps me realize what I'm missing on windows.
every install of mac os X 10.4 has TWO FREE WAYS TO CONVERT CURRENCY.
the conversion widget
the calculator
i hope no one is foolish enough to pay for this.
don't know if i'm the only one to know, but the default calculator inside OS-X have that entire list of features, and more...
and have the design that fits it!
why bother installing a downgrading calculator that is not even free...
